We come in to contact with a lot of great riding gear and there is an awful lot of temptation to buy just as much of it as we can personally find storage for. But unless you want to get paid in clothes you have to be a little more picky about what you pull the trigger on.
So what makes the cut? We thought we'd take you through a few of our personal riding outfits starting with a familiar face. Andrew is one of Urban Rider's co-founders and long serving face of our RU-vid channel. Let's take a look in his wardrobe.

used to run agv only for my helmets because i did tons of canyon runs at 2am with friends and needed the streamline design so i didnt get a sore neck{broke neck as a kid racing a 150f with 208 kit} now i run an hjc because dear god that airflow is a life saver in 100 deg

Thank you very much for your personal insight and very open of you to show your house great vlog i love Urban Rider .The problem is the EU and taxes now you still have the best equipment and gear for me i really hope next year to come over and grab some stuff but i said that last year .My missus would hang me if i put my boots on the table just saying. Eats chains, sprockets, drinks oil. Andrew has successfully put hundreds of people off buying a Ducati Scrambler. Mind you, BMWs drink oil, as well. I don't like the Bell helmet - give me a Roof Boxer V8; Belstaff Ivy: I hope he nicked it; Urbane Pro: too tight; Rascal kecks: fantastic. I remember them being reviewed. I'd love a pair. Pando Moto: I'd rather have my Resurgence New Wave. Alpinestars books: I like them, although I prefer Tim's Icon boots. Rokker Urban Racer: get a pair of TCXs. Velomacchi gloves: they look brilliant. I wish I'd bought that backpack instead of my R25. Waterproof gloves: no need for them. I wonder how much that neck warmer is. The most enjoyable Urban Rider video yet.

Both were from a company called Mugello, based in Thailand. At the time they only did business via Facebook messenger! Hopefully they've moved on a bit since then as their custom parts were really good, just very very difficult to source! - Andrew

from bit sporty side, I've been rocking in shoei nxr for almost two years which is amazing, and there is new refreshed version - you should try it but it might not be your style :) shoei has amazing photosensitive visor that goes dark if there is too much sun

I didn't realise the Bike Shed curates who can park there. That's a bit sad and not the spirit of including all. Listened to Henry Crew on Teapotone podcast about the Desert Sled, you seem to have many of the issues he had. Wouldn't want to be in some obscure country on one.

I imagine it's usually rainy and you mostly don't go much higher than 25°C, because of the general lack of light clothing. Forget all that leather stuff when it's 30°+ outside. Infact, i ride from may to september with moslty Dainese Air type gear, and shoes with mesh inserts - you would be literally cooking inside those leather boots. Also, textile gloves with mesh inserts. I own a couple of leather jackets and heavy touring gear, but most of the time it sits in the wardrobe. Northern Italy here. Besides, i only use Schuberth helmets now, because of the comfortable modular design, and the fact of being the most silent helmets on the market (along with Shoei Neotec).

Ha. Here’s a boss of urban rider saying he can’t justify another helmet and then there’s me with a Shei Glamster, Shoei Ex Zero, Arai Tour x4, Nexx XG100 and a Shoei Ryd. I’m an idiot. For what it’s worth though, the Glamster and the Ex Zero are awful helmets. The level of wind noise in both, even with custom ear plugs is too much. Poorly design neck roll let’s all the wind in the world rush up under your ears. Even the Ex zero which is supposed to be noisy is insanely annoying. I did a test, removed my visor from my XG100 and it is about 80% quieter. Anyhoo, your jacket costs nearly as much as my DR650 so do yourself a solid and get the helmet you want :)

Hi Paul, great feedback. We're planning a helmet / noise comparison video too. I think I'm one of the few that's not so bothered about the noise levels compared to other features of the lids. You've certainly got an impressive range; maybe you should feature in the next vid! - Andrew

Not tried the glamster but my ex zero is the best summer lid I've ever had I don't find it too noisy at all considering it's basically an open face and will quite happily sit on the motorway with it, it's really light comfortable and if it's not raining my go to helmet. The only thing I don't like is not enough room for speakers for me the matt paint scratches too easily and it looks old very quickly, gloss would be different.

I guess we’re all very different with varying sensitivities. At the same time, we’re also shaped differently, have different bikes, different airflow etc. all that comes into play but both the Glamster and the Ex zero are unacceptably loud to me
