Really enjoyed your video, not many shooting or reviews of NY compliant ARs. A very real and honest review, like you were talking to a buddy about it. Keep it up! Hope to see some more shooting tests and reviews of NY compliant ARs!
Great video, I subscribed. As an ex NY state native, I don't miss the gun laws but I do miss the green pastures compared to the brown hot desert here in AZ. I would buy a CMC 3.5 trigger, it improved the accuracy on my carbine.
Really cool rifle even though I think a regular stock is more practical. Here in Sweden you're considered a murderer by the gov if you own a rifle (a chassi) like that, so its pretty hard to get a permit for it and impossible if you can fold the stock. The murder potential follows the look of the chassi according to Snowflake logic and has nothing to do with the guy holding the gun. (?!)
I hate our laws in New York very unconstitutional. Have you checked out a Troy AR pump action they are awesome and sort of go around the safe act rules.
Yeah off to a rocky start. But I’m gonna make up some loads for it and see how it does. To it’s credit it is all ready shooting better than the Troy SAR
I have a GLFA ar that I bought last year. It loves the Frontier 55 match hollow points. However after about 15 shots at the range it starts stringing them. I have it set up for hunting and not a range gun, so its not really a issue
@@ChuckinTV Sportsman Outdoor has it right now for $10.99 a box. Not the price it use to be, but not horrible. No limits either. I order a handful of boxes each pay day. Shipping is fair priced and fast
1-9" Should be okay for 55gr I think. I did try some 70gr and 60gr handloads. Both shot great 3 shot groups, but shots 4 and 5 on both loads walked high. This barrel is just not doing well with heat. Perhaps it needs more break in or something? Either way, I think I'm going to go with a new barrel. I want a 20" rather than a 16" anyway
Have you tested out the Ruger MPR 556? I'm debating between the Stag 15 Tactical or the Ruger for $1000. I really want an LWRC IC DI or a Daniel Defense DDM4V7, but it's so expensive and I can't bring myself to spend $2000 on a rifle I'll probably only shoot once a week at a range. PS - The scope view you had was awesome looking. You should definetly do more videos like that from the scope view.
Thanks! I couldn't really make a fair recommendation because I haven't tried out a lot of ARs. I'm not overly impressed with this Stags performance. Although it is very reliable the accuracy was terrible.
I love my state geographically. I don't love the politics all the time. But this is home where my family and friends are. It's where I have access to some awesome hunting ground and where I've made all of the content on this channel.
two inch MOA in combat is acceptable . My Stag model 3 will shoot 1 " MOA all day at 100 yards after Break in.....and never failed to go Bang. Stock (NY) configuration??? Maybe ??
Yeah, I'm looking forward to see how this does now that I have 100rds through it and have cleaned it thoroughly. Is yours a 1/9" 16" as well? What loads does yours like? My main concern is the complete point of impact shift with the barrel heating up. Maybe that will get better after break in as well
