Chuckin' TV is made up of my cousins Garrett and Anthony (Twan) and myself Eric. We have been chuck hunting for years and last summer we started videoing our hunts. Woodchuck hunting is our means to tuning our equipment and marksmanship to make us better and more ethical hunters. We will bring you videos that give you unbiased reviews on the products we use and share some our ammo making experience as well. Thanks for watching and enjoy.
I love the idea of these rifles. I see the forearm isn't floated which is good because I had a Harrington and Richardson and nothing I did would legit be accurate cause of floating stock
I recently purchased a Seekins Havak Element in 6.5 Creedmoor. On its maiden voyage to the range I brought along five different boxes of ammunition. The best of the group was Federal Non-Typical 140 grain soft point. With this I was able to shoot a .403 group. Second best was Hornady Whitetail Hunter 129 grain. With this I was able to shoot a .719 group. Hornady Precision Hunter 143 grain and Federal Fusion 140 grain both shot sub-MOA groups. The worst of the lot was Winchester solid copper 125 grain which impacted in a circular pattern about 6 inches in diameter. I fired six rounds and it looked like a shotgun was used. Hopefully the Winchester will work in another Creedmoor chambered rifle.
I have the Stevens 325 in 30-30 and a 222 Rem in the 340 I love them. They are great shooters and lite to carry around.. Wow! this video is 8 years old. Do you still have that 340?
Getting scoped with that camera is a lesson I would have learned very soon if not for you.. never woulda though of that..Iv got a 6.5lb 30-378. Might have lost an eye 😂
I don't have a Seekins, I wouldn't mind having one; I was shopping for one the other day and, I ended up with a Fierce Rival FP in 300PRC. Looking forward to doing some hunting with it this fall.
I have the same rifle and caliber, I shot Norma whitetail 140 grain and it shot 1/2 moa. I think federal loads were a little hot, that’s why you had the sticky bolt. My reloads shoot better than the Norma.
The fit and finish of Model 10s are sloppy by modern standards, but their free floating bolt head and tight lock up.lore.pretty consistent accuracy out of the box. I'd gamble on a factory Model 10 over a 700
This is May, 2024 and I bought my Glock 44 this month and took it to the range. I had at least 1 or 2 lite strikes out of all 4 magazines. I cleaned it before I shot it so I don’t know what is going on with mine. When I put the light strike round back in the magazine, they would all fire. I only fired about 100 rounds but it was CCI Mini Mags and Agueila (not sure of the spelling but you know what I’m talking about and they all had lite strikes. It just might need to be shot another few hundred rounds before I send it back to Ruger. Glad you got a good one.
I've shot 52 gr hornady hp with 37grs of h414 for years but had to switch to 460 powder 37 grs with great accuracy less than 1/2 inch groups every time pushing around 3700 fps
