Hmm dunno they look pretty similar tbh... Audi doesnt change their design much. Personally I'd probably have the newer one coz it's got a much nicer interior but they are way more expensive obviously
Yeah the 5cil sounds really nice, but Direct Injection + Turbo is just a recipe for a high maintenance car. Neither are the DSG transmissions known for their long life expectancy. I know reliability isn't everything, because the more reliable cars get the more boring they get. But I wouldn't be comfortable sinking money into these. If you want that 5cilinder sound, without the high maintenance problems, get a volvo T5. Those have dual injection and a timing chain. Problem is, people know this too. The re-sale value of Volvo T5's is ridiculously high.
Oh gee we have the opposite here lol - volvos are some of the heaviest depreciating and most unreliable cars lol... If I wanted the 5 cyl sound, Audi is basically the only option. Besides, Volvo isn't high performance like this, more for luxury.
@@KiwiCarLife Really? The T5 engine is rather bulletproof. Volvo interiors do tend to start to rattle and creek after a while though. Here a 5-6 year old V70 is still 15-18K euro. How bizarre :D
@@The_Noticer. It's not bullet proof and they sell for nothing, only the special models sell for good. The T5 is a good engine but don't paint it like it's god motor compared to the Audi one.
@@MrZyLeXx To me, any engine that is direct injection only is a no-go. Even manufacturers have now realized how shit it is. Which is why VW, Toyota and Hyundai now have dual-injection in their newer engines. Like this volvo engine also has. This Audi CEPB is no doubt the quicker engine. But you're going to have to take it apart every 30--40k miles for a sandblasting of the intake valves.
Did you buy it tuned or get it done, what did it cost (not including the bolt on stuff)& is it simply just plug a laptop up to the ecu & upload a new map & is it worth it compared to standard?
@@KiwiCarLife nice cars, I had the a3 8p pre facelift with a 2.0 TDI then got a facelift S3 8p but I have never had the privilege to drive the big daddy rs3
