Beth is hands down the best female blues singer alive. Next I would love to see you react to her performance Am I The One live at Paradiso! I can guarantee that you’ve never seen another performer with more stage presence and confidence than her.
Yes. You HAVE to react to Am I The One at Paradise, but two warnings. One: she does swear, so you might need to bleep the sound at that point and Two: you will fall deeply head over heels in lust with her, so you might need to listen to some Dimash afterwards to reset your hormones.
As many others comments; do Beth Hart "Am I the One" live. And the performance in Paradiso is awesome.. and the stage presences is next level. So emotional in the voice and body. Almost always gets my eyes wet..
One of the things that always blows me away with this performance is how, when Joe takes his solo, I swear he somehow channels Beth's spirit-of-the-moment directly into his guitar as if she has magically transformed herself into the guitar and Joe is letting her possess it and is allowing her to sing through it. For my money it's one of THE most soulful guitar solos ever. Simply astounding. And I'm not leaving Beth out by any means. She's delivering her soul to the audience in a pure, raw form. I literally weep for her every time I watch this.
I love you girl but you talked over one of the greatest blues guitar solos of all time. And Joe also has a great presence. You must never stop or talk over a guitar solo. That is the rule! LOL until next time stay well and popping for fresh
There's only two ladies in this world that when I listen to them sing. No matter how many times I have listened, they make my face leak, and I can't seem to control it. Beth is the number one. The other is Angelina Jordan. Janet. If one wants to see yet another emotional serious connection with the crowd performance from Beth. "Beth Hart - Am I The One - Live At Paradiso". Will be just the ticket. Also. "Beth Hart - Caught Out In The Rain (Live At The Royal Albert Hall) 2018" Beth is definitely my favorite blues singer. So many of the times that I watch people review performances of Beth and Angelina, Most of the time even though I am watching the video to see how the one is reviewing an artist, and I should be watching the reviewer. I always seem to be drawn to watching Beth, instead of the reviewer. But is not the case when I watch your reviews. Thanks Janet. You give great review.
You Just Got Schooled Coach! Critique that! Beth Hart is the epitome of a Blues Singer; she sings her face off every time. She is the best I have ever heard. Joe Bonamassa is the best Blues guitarist ever. There are other great guitarist in other genre but Joe is the King of the Blues right now. This goes great with a outside fire and some great Bourbon. What a relax. I get the stank face and close my eyes and enjoy.
I've watched this reaction a bunch of times and it's on my playlist 😂 I just love watching Beth make people lose their breath 😂 She's absolutely my favorite female vocalists ever .
I think that was a master class in stage presence that Beth and Joe just put on, yes? lol! OMG, I wear myself out every time I watch this. Their energy drains mine! Absolutely iconic performance.
I love watching people get to experience this for the first time. I've watched it literally hundreds of times and it NEVER gets old. Between Beth and Joe it just doesn't get any better.
A BETH HART PERFORMANCE: When Beth performs, no eye in the audience ever leaves her; she never stops moving once a song starts; during the show she'll spend considerable time on the floor and at the edge of the stage, and she often starts off a concert from the back of the theatre and works her way through the audience to the stage. She lays it all on the line every time and owns the auditorium from start to finish. A Beth Hart performance is like nothing you've ever seen before.
I was lucky enough to see Beth in February, and her interaction with the audience is very strong right from the beginning. She opened with a couple of Zeppelin covers, (Black dog was amazing by the way). Then she proceeded to sit down on the edge of the stage and have a little talk with the fans before she had us all spellbound with a string of originals. Then when she sits down at the piano, her fans just know what to expect. Her band is a phenomenal trio of musicians that know Beth so well that their timing is impeccable. It was truly a bucket list event for me. Thanks for your review. ♥️✌🏼😎
Blues are the songs from the heart, the pain, the happiness and the two of them combined take you on a journey within on a far deeper level. The Queen of the blues there.
Just absolutely LOVE Beth and what she brings to the stage, then you add Joe, a person that can make a guitar cry and moan with it's own emotion. Put them together and it's soul breaching. EVERYTIME this makes me emotional!!! Everytime!!!
When you are listening and reacting and look directly into the camera your eyes seem to invite us into your world !! Your eyes tell the whole story. Love it !!
I saw an interview with Beth and she had me crying she's just a beautiful young lady inside and out I already loved her singing and then fell in love with her as a person she's just absolutely amazing
Watching your reactions to the different pieces of music you play, is like watching my own emotions when I heard this music for the first time....and still do. Does that make you my soul mate? I guess so. Thank you for being my soul mirror
I just happened accross your reaction to Beth Hart and Joe Bonamassa. I have heard this 100 times at least and love it every time I hear it. This is one of the best Etta James covers I have ever heard., Beth's emotion, and Joe playing the guitar as if he is singing, just beautifully done. So happy to see you enjoy this one. If you liked Beth you need to go back a ways and check out Beth Hart "I Am The One" live at Paradiso. There is so much more, but this is a performance like no other you will see live today.
I wonder how many artists and bands from the past. The 60s, 70s and 80s needed a stage presencece coach. It just naturally, we need a coach for everything these days 😂
I have seen Beth and Joe on their own solo tours. Never seen them together. I'm a big fan of both. Just saw Beth this summer. Her shows are very emotional. Once you're in her presence you will be sucked in for the whole show. Can't wait to see her again. Also Joe is a good singer and can't wait to see him again too. Both class acts.
When the video started, and you bv were listing the things you look for....all I could do was laugh, and say "this poor girl is about to have her a$$ kicked".....if you really want to see Beth shine.... PLEASE watch "Am I the one"- live at Paradiso.....you'll never be the same......
I don’t know how anyone could listen to this an not be moved emotionally. I definitely got the impression you were. Most of us can relate to blues, most of us have experienced this in one way or another. Beth is such a powerful singer and her voice is quite unique. Joe is hands down a guitarist extraordinaire and actually generates as much emotion with his solo as Beth does with her voice. What an outstanding pair they make together.
Beth's phrasing in this song, as with Purple Rain with Jeff Beck, is absolute top notch. She also has a knack of collaborating with guitarists who KNOW what they are doing and don't drown the song's message or singer. Jeff (RIP) and Joe Bonamassa have done the 10,000 hours so they know that there ARE songs that need give you you space to breath and take in the message. Beth is one of the best out there at interpretation and listening to her work on other classics like Nutbush City Limits and Led Zeppelin's catalog put her up there with Linda Ronstadt at getting to KNOW the song inside out, top to bottom and sideways before performing. At times I listen to Beth I hear bits of Etta, Janis, Elkie Brooks, Tina and the absolute precision timing of Aretha and the blues of Billie..Stunning singer. I'm sure Etta was proud of this...I'd almost say that this rendition has been covered more times by different First Time or Reacts videos than any other...The great thing is that all are absolutely stunned by the performance....Wonderful...
Beth is a master class in stage presence. Every concert is her best one, because she gives all every time. Even as a teenager on Star Search, she owned the stage. She still does.
There is nothing more beautiful and gripping than the blues when it is performed by those who have mastered it. Hands down, Beth Hart and Joe Bonamassa has mastered this music form. What else is there to say after watching this? 🤷♂🙃💘🎸
What I always feel when I witness this performance, is that Beth sets the stage to trigger all those emotions inside, so that Joe can unleash the most unique solo that even brings tears ,.Then Beth ends up adding even more emotion right up to the end.
Etta James did that when she sang it originally. See Etta's Montreux '75 video and watch her belt it out to the audience without holding the mic up during sections.
Gianluca Barilli L'ho vista piu volte dal vivo qui in italia e sempre stata strepitosa ! Voce perfetta e simpatia col pubblico. I have seen it live several times here in Italy and it has always been amazing! Perfect voice and sympathy with the public.
I don’t know who this confident singer is or her name or where she’s from but she has the best emotions of anyone responding to Beth and joe I’ve seen.
Beth Hart Is a beast, and has won several jazz singer of the year. Joe started playing with BB King when he was 12 years old. These two together are insanely talented. Beth sings Whole Lotta Love from Led Zeppelin. No kiddies aloud, but you will love it. Happy Labor Day
You need to see her live at Royal Albert Hall perfroming Caught Out In The Rain AND THEN she does a solo playing piano! of Leave The Light On that's outa this world
I had the fortunate pleasure of seeing Beth in her younger years when she was on tour with her band and Jonny Lang in January of 2000 (Corrected from 1998, which was the album year for Johnnys record release) and it's so cool to see how she has matured as a person and performer, and having the amazing success she is having now with Joe and others. A fantastic performer and vocalist, so it was very cool to see this performance "hit" you the same way it hit me.
@@ben-schulman Yeah, you are correct, it was for the 1998 album, Wander this World, but the show was January 27, 2000 at Celebrity Theater in Phoenix. Thanks!
@@danjmcs Hey, I appreciated your comment--details like this are hard to come by and dependent upon individuals contributing their experiences. This was the period of her collapse and, although it's probably difficult to recall, do you remember how her performance seemed at the time?
@@ben-schulman Totally agree with you on sharing the memories, I love sharing that history and experience of live shows. I remember that she looked tired, but her performance was fantastic. I do remember it wasn't a long set, but seeing/hearing "L. A. Song" she was really amazing. I took some friends from work and we were all amazed with both her and Jonny. That venue had a club you could join for a reasonable annual fee that guaranteed you the ability to buy advanced tickets in the first 5 rows for any show, so I took advantage of the opportunity as best i could back then and that was one of the shows. I found the ticket stub, $25 and row 4, heh, crazy. Fantastic circular venue that s still one of my favorites in Phoenix. George Carlin did one of his early HBO specials there, second one i think, in 1978.
She does another great version with the late, great Jeff Beck at the Kennedy Center honoring Buddy Guy. The remaining members of Led Zeppelin were honored that night as well and in attendance. Jimmy Page and Jeff were friends from their early teens until Jeff's recent passing.
I don't know about you she blown me away about her singing that song she done something to me I was literally in tears about this song I can't can't explain it about her singing and Joe badamasa playing that guitar it was magical that's it magical thank you both for shoe the love for the music you sing to me mind blowing God bless you what you sing amen to that
We saw Beth last year at the Ryman in Nashville. Emotions? Well she is nuts. Seriously she is nuts and it probably does help her display strong emotions on stage. There is no female blues vocalist at her level and no blues artist in general better all around than Joe.
I saw her way back in the early 90’s in Nashville. She was great then, and she is great now. Beth leaves everything on the stage, that’s why we believe every word she sings.❤️🤗🐝
If you look close behind Beth just after Joe's beautiful guitar solo, notice how Joe politely bows his head to his drummer -- lol, Yup; Joe knew how good that solo was, He killed it! --
That's what it sounds like when you have a whole stage full of rock and blues legends really enjoyed your reactionyou mite react joe bonamassa and his band sing Going Down or slow Train
