Nice tutorial, I use the length based detail component a lot for various rebar annotation families. One thing I wish Revit had is the ability to make lines styles / line colours and fill regions parametric. Now if I want to have different colour variants of a detail item I need to create multiple versions of the thing within the family and create visibility parameters for each representation. How handy it would be if a fill region/line style, etc could be associated to a selection parameter. It would prevent a lot of duplication of the same geometry.

Oh dynamic fills (even if just orientable), line styles with symbols and other similar systems would be brilliant. No doubt its rotting on the ideas board somewhere...

Hey there! Great video, just wanted to ask if there is a reason why the arrays are not constrained from the start without the need for the initial first black and first white components, and that is not in regards to Revit 2025 where the arrays have changed. Thanks!

Yes I made this in pre-2025 where this is much easier now - most people are not using 2025 yet. I made the first black/white space as arrays cannot go down to 1, only 2.

I would be very interested if you would have a template of a double storey home with all the families available for purchase. A full set of working drawings with some general details. Including internal elevations.

It doesn't go down to general details but I sell my residential template with a sample model inc joinery and int elevations (just not site, details) here: courses.bimguru.education/courses/template-revit-housing The template includes enough families for basic housing but i sell full doors, windows, casework etc. as content packs on the same website.
