Very good video, i hope you continue I learned allot. Can you do a video on Concrete poured pan tread stairs? So far I built several Tower stair the largest one being six floors so a total of 12 runs. It took a long time to layout out in 2D and break all the components out.

Hello Sir, first of all really appreciate for your efforts and well wishes from Saudi Arabia 🫶🏼🇸🇦 I have a question, i m not sure if would be able to convey what i want to ask but let me try, I am a metal fabricator and i design in 2d using autocad for all of my projects, as i have the fiber laser cutting machine for metal sheets. So the question is that is it possible if i draw the spiral stair (for my client, of any size) using your teachings and get a 2d plan or developments to cut the stair footings, center pipe length, and size for the cladding sheet and then weld them all together and it would fabricate perfectly?? Or is this drawing can only be used for “presentation” purposes not for the fabrication purposes?? Because the welder that we have, has no idea how to fabricate a spiral stairs neither do i I hope you understand my question as i tried my best 😅 Much Love and Respect to you Sir 💝

Thanks for your question! You can get 2D plans for your stairs, but I'm not sure if there's a way to break it apart into development or spool drawings for your prefabrication process. When you draw a stairs, its one component, but you can use the EXPLODE command to break it a part, then manually separate each part for annotation and detailing, then add those to sheets. However, I can't think of an easier/automated way to get what you're asking for. I hope I answered your question.

Great video but my cutting plane is affecting the stairs how do I solve that? It’s just the triangle part is the problem is bigger than the stairs itself I’m not really use to the architectural version just started using it so sorry for the bother

I used Screencast-o-matic for a long time, but it's a subscription software. I switched to OBS recently because it's free and has a lot of features that I found to be helpful.

Very simple question. How can i do a u-shaped staor with no landing, but with the stairs continue on the curve?

You would have to create what is called a winder stairs. I might do a video on that.

Probably a silly question but when I open up AutoCAD, there isn't the build section in the top left of the screen. It just shows the draw section of it. How do I change this to where I can see the build section?
