Hey there Ray. Those log steps look super great. That stairway will really add to the natural look of things. Your daughter did a great job! When she's done, I've got a smaller staiway she can build, especially now that she's a certified stairway-to-Heaven technician (smile). Glad you made a water run-off to save your stairway. Thanks for the fun build. Hope you and the family have a great fall/winter this year. There's nothing like the snow storms you guys get up there. Any snow we get doesn't last long. If it snows through the night down here, we might be lucky to see an inch or less accumulated. Nothing like when I was a kid growing up in Pennsylvania where 6 to 8 inches was common then sometimes 10 to 13 inches would pile up. Man, I still remember all the shoveling snow and slush by hand with a heavy-azz coal shovel. My dad would send us out there and we'd keep shoveling until he was tired watching us work. Now that I think of it, I've never-ever seen my dad lift a shovel to remove snow. I guess that's why he had four boys. We were the free-for-hire labor force (mostly myself). My other brothers always seemed to be somewhere else when it came to those back-breaking chores. 😲 Alright my friend, stay well, enjoy the cool season, and have a great Christmas. Thanks for the touching message. It was great to hear from you again. The hard work of shovelling never seem to hurt you any. As for our weather it is just crazy warm for this time of year. Not so much the last two days but sept and October was unseasonably warm. 60 to 75 f. It was nice having my daughter home. Usually she is so busy with friends she doesn’t have time for projects but we manage to squeeze in a project with the old man this visit. Thanks for your comment. Ray
