man, stalker 2 really has its work cut out by gamma. its near perfection when it comes to the stalker experience, and its getting updated regularly. insane.
not to mention it (and Anomaly by extension) are free. its a great community and a really good place to learn basic modding since making mods for Anomaly is actually really easy. my first ever mod was for Anomaly
Anomaly/GAMMA are made by passionate people, Stlaker 2 is made by people who do the bare minimum to meet minimal requirements. Microsoft makes consumer products and outsource workload to avoid actually hiring people, which leads to mediocre results.
I think the most important thing to say is that THIS GAME IS 100% FREE. You can download it right now, legally, and for free. The whole thing. Everyone should play it!
my gamma playthrough has been weird asf just now in agroprom underground i broke a wooden box with my knife and got a notification that my rep has worsened
It's a mixture of the current gamma build, an older build and a few clips from when I had my own stuff added to anomaly. Sadly I only have the default gamma mod list and the zone reality retexture at the moment
I don't play gamma because screw that install lol. But over all this whole game and universe is the best. I was in fallout for years due to only console systems. And boy was I missing out. Was playing on a potato and now I got a real rig and man anomaly in general in a masterpiece! Watched people play for a long time before I got my hands on anomaly. My only problem is I like mods that conflict so it probably takes me just as long to get my game to work as it would to install Gamma.😂😂 only downfall is not being able to smoke. Tried everything and still can't haha😅 unless it's Weedoms choice smoke👌🙌🙏
@@AIMJaCoBywell yes but for me it did not matter what I did I just couldn't get it to download the sufficient amount of mods.(yes I tried asking for help on discord, it didn't help)
While GAMMA is an experience its sure as hell not something i'd consider to be a pleasant experience. I'm a massive stalker purist so i like dated graphics and gameplay that actually feels like stalker
Is stressful zone by chance part of GAMMA? I cant remember how old that mod is, but the way it affects psyresistance and comsumables is so damn good. I had to tweak a few things, because not everything is cohesive, but the patching is easy as hell, and it doesn't conflict with anything on my personal modlist. It might have a patch for the Controller rework mods that are in gamma, thats the only thing i can think of that might conflict with it. Oh, and toxic air is splid as well, and i do believe some iteration of that is in gamma already, can't remember, it's been too long.
whatever it is, its probably built into the GAMMA modpack--GAMMA is just a massive collection of mods for Stalker Anomaly (which itself is basically all of the Stalker games mashed into one that you can get free.)
1:27 Bro, where your find this voiceline from EFT Michail voice? I only see one mod in moddb which already out of date and doesn't support. Is that voiceline from this mod? I tried it and find out that it has some bugs
It'd be so nice to get more than 45 fps with a ryzen 5 and a rtx 3060ti, literally tried everything... and I've been playing stalker since 07 I know my way around mods and tweaks. Game is a horrible mess performance-wise.
I get 120~140 with 3070 Ti. Toning down grass to 0.7 and turning down grass shadows, not using secondary AA and SSAO at the same time helped me a lot. Wet surfaces also blast the FPS but I keep it because it looks good. 422 mods is no joke, at least in that engine...
@@spectraleggings i7 -9700k 16 X Corsair 3600 ram And a Kingston M2 SSD From what I saw grass shadows make the most difference, since a ton of mods are loaded it gets overloaded fast so gotta help it out by cutting some corners. Also check your shadow resolution, since it's not really a hardware problem just as you said, but rather the engine being overloaded by the amount of mods
@@araceli4451 ok, officially fixed it now, turns out the game is just being a bitch and randomly drops frames in dark valley. Nothing needed to be toned down, grass is still at high, everything maxed out basically. Setting the affinity worked now (it didn't before for some reason) and it's smooth as butter.
It's not hard imo. There's a few good guides out here on RU-vid. Basically you have to set up a few things and from there on it downloads and installs the mods automatically
shotgun recoil seems nerf`d, is that just how they run in GAMMA or did you do something in settings? I love those shotguns but rarely play with them because in EFP, even with the recoil upgrades, you get one shot and then you stare at the sky.
In my opinion gamma recoil is fairly balanced. The shotgun I was using was one of the best you can get in gamma. It has a drum mag and some attachments, it's pretty beefy and a late game weapon. Other shotguns have more recoil
Very much depends on the shotgun. With semi-auto shotguns or break action ones it won't really matter. In terms of the automatic shotguns, the RAPTR is very manageable. The USAS on the other hand... You can even upgrade the fire rate on that thing. It's hilarious but not very practical. If you want to see what a storm of lead looks like this is your choice. Everything above the general direction you pointed it in before pulling the trigger is going to get obliterated.
I'm playing on easiest difficulty, set enemy accuracy to "stormtrooper" at high distances (they are still laser-accurate in close quarters), tweaked campfire regen to double, installed Bullet Time mod (slow mo on demand) and muted the mod's audio files (which go "wrooooom" whenever you slow time, I hated it, got rid of it). All in all, the game is still pretty hard here and there, but at least I have my own VATS to compensate my shitty aim in FPS games. And as my aim got better I tuned slow mo to 0.75 of normal time. Now it feels like actual adrenaline instead of a super power. End result: the shooting is much easier now, so my focus shifted to immersion, survival and item management which I love.
Can you play the game without the base building bullshit ? I followed gamma for a while and saw they introduced like building crafting benches etc at some point. Is it mandatory to use this feature or are the normal stations enough for basic needs?
You can play it without, although gamma is designed so that you have so many items you need to store somewhere. I think you could just use backpacks as stashes near a mechanic. Gammas furniture's are very convenient though
man i really want play this shame doesnt work me idk why even i do same things how shown in few tutorial videos.launch is ok but when i make start new game and loading is finished then my game crash and pop out error.
