This one scene is completely mindblowing and history in the making. I don't know if people realize how incredible it is to get these action icons from the 80's together in one scene even for a few minutes....you are witnessing a serious cinematic historical event here, folks.
Facts I grew up watching these action heroes from the 80,s and 90s the best part was Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce wills trading their iconic movie sayings was pure genius and gold
@@chadhaire1711 it's not THIS particular movie. When you're 51 like I am I'm seeing EVERY movie I've seen with any of these guys in it and that's why it makes me happy. I even had a stranger pose as my Dad so my buddy and I could get into Rambo when I was 14. It's a old guy thing.
Whoever thought up the idea of putting all these guys into action films must have had a brainstorm! What a coup! I watch these films time and again. Bruce Willis dropped out eventually, being unwell. But he certainly made his mark with his films!
You dumb? they did it because its called "pandering" and "fan service", why? because modern movie making is dumb, go watch a 80s action block buster, how can ONE hero take on men with machine guns? because the hero still uses logic and takes cover, and using precision aim making it believable (eg beverly hills cop). Here you have all the idiot heroes stand out in the open and not take ANY hits and bad guys have bad aim. Yes you can go "stormtroopoer aim" but shooting guns can be hard in real life some black dude tried to execute two people cowering on the ground and shot two to three times and missed CLOSE RANGE. So storm troopers missing is ok, people still took cover in rebels vs the empire battles. Here the heroes are magic
More like: John Matrix: I'm almost out...I'll be back John McClane: you've been back enough...I'll be back John Matrix: yippee ki yay Can we just bask at the awesome that John Rambo (Stallone), John Matrix (Schwarzenegger) and John McClane (Willis) are working together gunning down fools that stand in their way.
@@nawmsayin8017 so fucking what? Even with roids would you have kept that same fucking discipline up to the age of 76? Man never claimed he was natural, only preaching longetivity, shut the fuck up
He is 76 years old now and Arnold is 75 they are all older now. Willis will be 68 in March. Van Damme is the youngest of old school action stars with being 63 this year and Lundgren will be 66 this year
I agree even though the first one wasn't that bad either, imo. The third one is the movie that feels kind of crappy. It's just not as good as the previous 2 movies. Giving "The Expendables 3" a PG-13 rating just didn't help it. At least Stallone learned from that mistake and promised that the fourth film will have the "R" rating.
Stallone co-wrote the original, directed it and starred. Norris wasn't involved in the original film. So, what makes you think permission from Norris was required for the sequel to go ahead?
To make it sound better, maybe change the name to John Matrix from Commando instead of Terminator since The Terminator is not to be seen as a real life character
As someone born in the 80s, these movies are a true tribute to all the action movies I loved growing up; and to have Jean Claude as the bad guy, chefs kiss.
Man i had a friend who said “these movies are dumb, they made no sense” i was like bruh, if you’re watching the expendables because you wanna watch a movie that makes sense, you came to the wrong party.
Your friend sounds like the kind of person that would order steak tartare and then insist that it be seared on the outside and cooked until it is well done.
I laughed like a maniac when this scene came out at the theater. I had to buy the DVD and watch the film again with my old man. I am glad they had Bruce Willis, Arnold and Chuck Norris back to film this specific scene. My only criticism is having JCVD as the villain, he is too charismatic to be the bad guy. I think Seagal would have made a very unlikeable villain, but he doesn't want to lose or get hit in the movies.
I think that’s exactly what made Vilain a good villain. Van Damme was a great choice, I honestly don’t know if Scott Adkins could’ve carried the same weight as the main villain at this point in his career or if execs would have even allowed him to try. Same goes for Mel Gibson, I thought he made an interesting bad guy too
I grew up watching these action heroes and icons from the 80,s and 90s action movies but how iconic to have Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce wills to trade their iconic movie lines for the new generation
Basically one of the most ridiculous movies and one you'll want to watch over and over again. Haha ;) I don't think you can make a more over the top action film. The Expendable Series reached the limit. ^^
The Transporter, The terminator, Rambo, Chuck Norris, and Bruce Willis all kicking ass in one movie. All we need now is Vin Diesal and Keanu Reeves and you have the biggest ensemble of action heroes in one movie
The first Expendables underwhelmed significantly for not using most of its cast well and having a drawn-out story. But when I saw Expendables 2, and once I got to this scene, I was thinking, "Now that's more like it." Not only Stallone and Statham, but Dolph Lundgren gets more to do, Van Damme is the baddie, and Arnold and Bruce Willis actually kick ass alongside Stallone; more of what you'd want from this kind of film. Even Chuck Norris, whose action films I've started watching recently, gets in on it. The Expendables series peaked here, no doubt.
Stallone, Schwarzenegger and Willis tanking and Chuck Norris providing sniper cover... This scene is like a wet dream for fans of old school action movies.
I like how they make so many references to each others own characters outside of the expendable universe. Also it’s funny how all of the characters are so important and so legendary that not one of them gets killed or even wounded in this scene. All 300 of the men they are fighting missed all of their shots. 😂
My favourite part was when Arnold decided to input an infinite ammo cheat but near the end of the video you can see him getting bored with this whole combat situation being to easy and thus he switched weapons to an Expandable one.
