I suck at stamping. Don't know why. I used special nail polishes, scraped the design with a plastic scraper, got the image on the stamp, used a rolling motion over my nail, and....NAIL FAIL! Why? 😭

maybe you are waiting to long and the polish has started drying? you can use the second technique and put a top cote over it

+Xhante its probably your stamper. The squishy part shouldn't be shiny. Its something you have to do with the stamper. I think it's called "conditioning" it, but im probably wrong. I forgot exactly how to do this but there are videos on RU-vid.

My favorite stamped nail was definitely the one in the middle, where you used the clear stamper. I thought it just came out so clear and precise, and the colors work perfectly with each other! Also, the design is more sophisticated than the other two, so it gives it that more "grown up" sort of look. Love it!❤️

I've loved all things nails my whole life! I finally decided to give the nail stamps a try, & have had a hard time getting it right! I ordered a bunch of nail plates, the specific polish for it, scrapper, & the stamper. I haven't attempted it in a while due to frustration, but after seeing this video I think I'll give it another try! :)

TIP.....2:42 if ur creating a nailsy caul...u need to apply a thick top coat...i have tried it..since my top coat was thin..each time i went to pluck it out with tweesers it got spoiled...so use a thick top coat...😊

I fee the same. I love the designs that you can have on your nails through stamping, but I already own so much polish that I can't justify investing more money into all the stamping necessities.

+Nicole S. You don't need to invest in stamping polish though. As long as the nailpolish you're using is highly pigmented, you'll have success. If you want to thicken it up, leave the cap off overnight. Several OPI polishes I have are excellent for stamping.

I'm very upset, I ordered the jelly/clear stamper and waited 3 weeks for it to arrive. However, it doesn't work. The nail design doesn't transfer to the stamp no matter which kind of polish I've used :(

I know this is very late but maybe it can still help someone, you need to prep your stamper by gently going over it with a file and washing it with soap and water

What a great tutorial! So many tips and tricks! I wish I have seen this video when I started stamping, it gave me so many headaches until I finally got it. The only thing I would have emphasized is that you need to scrap and stamp VERY quickly, otherwise it won't work. Wonderful tutorial!
