Hi Tammy, awesome you are using your stamps and playing! Special stamps from your mom ❤ Beautiful leaves 🍁 🍁🍁Cool embossing! It gives a cool effect. Great job! Happy Sunday! Hugs 🧡🧡🧡🌻
These turned out beautiful! And your tag with the leafs is stunning. What a lovely idea. Your mom’s tree stamp is amazing. How fun! Hope you have a relaxing long weekend. Hugs 🤗❤️
hi Tammy i always forget about embossing thank you for reminding me about embossing there are so many ways of stamping :) nice tag ! i like the grungy look of the stamp you did. * Before you put the embossing powder on the paper put talcolm powder on to the paper, then stamp and then wipe off the excess embossing powder before heating it my mom had dementia too :) it is so nice that you have some of the stamps that are from your mom:)
Thank you for the embossing tips Thelma, I will give them a try! I do love the grungy look too, so I'm not unhappy with how my experimenting turned out. Thanks for watching and for hosting such a fun collab!🧡
Hi, Tammy, Happy September.I love the way your embossed leaves turned out They are beautiful. I enjoyed watching you create your lovely projects. Hope you have a great upcoming week.🌝💕💗
Beautiful leaves 🍃! Fun stamping projects. Fun watching you experiment with stamping and embossing. This is one area I would love to practice much more. ❤❤❤
Isn't it fun to play around with all that stuff? You did a great job! Those wood stamps give me grief as well. You just have to cross your fingers when you start. He he
It is so fun playing with stamps and embossing. I was inspired by you when you embossed right onto a signature page, I think it was a spider web. I will be trying that out next!
Just a tip that might help is to have an old book or magazine under your surface before you stamp. That bit of cushion helps significantly. Also if you hold the paper up as you heat it, the heat flows through it and aids in the processing. Also holding it off a surface keeps the paper from curling up. I watch a lot of videos. Ha 😂😊
Hi Tammy💕 Awesome leaves, love how they turned out. I use the embossing buddy before I stamp to get clean image. And distress after you are done with embossing power because any moisture will pick up the embossing powder. I am a horrible block stamp mom, I rip them off the block and use my stamping platform. 😂 I just don't have to strength to stamp the blocks on their own. Also to your heat tool has to be up to temp before you put to your project or it just blows powder around and keep you tool a distance away from project the if its hot enough it will do its job. You can heat set from underneath as well I have done that if I have a lot of layers of colors or texture. Happy stamping and embossing, I love it everything turned out fabulous. Thanks for sharing, hope your weekend was amazing. 🤗Big hugs
Thank you for the tips Celeste. As I was stamping with the block stamps I was wondering if I could remove them from the block. The next crafty item I get will be a stamping platform, I think it will help a little with my stamping confidence. 🧡
Hi Tammy Hope you are doing well. Do you have a powder bag that is made for embossing? It helps take the static and excess dust from the embossing powder. I know Hobby Lobby used to sell them not sure if they still do. Amazon for sure sells them. If you cannot find them please let me know. I will look to find you the link. I just cannot think off the top of the head what it is called. I believe it is called embossing tool/ bag. I love the look of the distress, so it really is not so noticeable. If you layered on top it would be beautiful. I love those leaves. So delicate and dainty like a real fall leave. Your tag is gorgeous. So neat you have stamps from your mom. How special. I have no relationship with my mom due to my very dysfunctional childhood. Plus, she was very controlling. I am trying so hard to work through it as a woman at my age. I am at a point of first time doing self care. My health journey put me in that mode. I know you talk a lot about self care. It is all a work in progress that we can not be harsh on ourselves. Sorry to babble on. I feel like when I watch videos, it starts conversations with the people I am watching. Enjoy your weekend 🌻 💛
Thank you Janet! I will be ordering one of those static bags, thank you for the link! I also love the grungy distressed look, so I'm not unhappy with how they turned out. I'm so sorry about your difficult childhood, I had a dysfunctional childhood too, my mom did the best she could with the learning disabilities she had, she was taken advantage of as much as my brother and I were. I have worked through much of that trauma with therapy and self care. On my old channel I did a whole year of self care on Sundays, Self Care Sunday (if you search the hashtag #selfcaresunday you might see them and find the playlist). When I was diagnosed with cancer I preplanned the rest of the year and did some recording ahead so I would finish the year. I found it to be very helpful and hopefully my subscribers did too.🧡🌻
I do put the hashtag in the body of the description, which I think works the same as in the title? I will try it both ways, thank you! I hope you are enjoying McCall!🧡
I just sent you a quick email to the embossing item I was telling you about in my comment here. I know Amazon sells others, too. I just couldn't remember what it was called until I looked it up. I'm so sorry. My memory is not so good these days. I call it an embossing buddy.🌻💛
Thank you Janet, I saw the email and will order one. I remember you told me about static and embossing a few videos ago (at least I think it was you, haha. I'm still recovering from chemo brain.)
@@TammyVanAntwerpArt I was the one who told you about the embossing buddy. My hormones are all wacky these past months. I barely remember my simple grocery list. I got to write it down before going to the store. I was never like that. I know wake up in the middle of the night remembering something from days before I could not recall. 💕
