Saw this match in 1992 when I got some Puroseau VHS tapes in a trade for autographed PWI magazines. It was a shock to see Dynamite the size he was when he started Calgary Stampede back in the Seventies.
Hansen would routinely rough up the young boys lol. When he was first getting the Lariat over, and even years later, he'd often take them one by one and whip them into the ropes to deliver Lariat after Lariat post-match. This was usually after a DQ or other shmoz finish as they attempted to check on the wrestler they were seconding But he was always working his gimmick, keeping the fans on their toes. They would scatter when he was on the warpath, and it was because of behavior like the kick here that they really bought Hansen as this unpredictable, rampaging madman
This needed to happen ten years earlier (or when Dynamite Kid was in his peak athleticism (vs Tiger Mask), but man that stupid Flying Headbutt really was a huge factor for him ending up in wheel chair and the 80’s roid epidemic where guys who should not be that huge were (Davey Boy another user as well),
Jacques Rougeau said in a shoot interview they were called in front of Vince said to Dynamite Kid that Jacques would pay for his dental work & shake hands it's over Vince owed Dynamite his Wrestle Mania & Summerslam Check for the PPV because it would months after the PPV to get paided so Dynamite took the money around 10.000 grand for the dental work & never got them fixed he was deep into drugs at this point Jacques also said he never paid the 10.000 that Vince told him he would pay
@@buckster2575 How so? Because you don't like it? The general practice (amongst most sophisticated, educated people), is to give some explanation with an assertion, which validates it more.
Hansen was a megastar for Vince Sr. just 4 years into his career vs. Bruno. They drew the largest gate in WWWF/New York history up to that point (more than doubled it) at Shea Stadium to see Bruno get revenge on Hansen after Sammartino's neck had been broken by The Lariat. When he was used by major American promotions it was always at the top of the card. From Amarillo to Memphis to his runs in AWA and WCW towards the end of his career. Dynamite Kid and Tiger Mask wow'ed crowds in Madison Square Garden, and he was a top star in Calgary. The Bulldogs weren't on the WWF D-shows during their run in NY. They were headlining a lot of the B-shows during the peak "Golden Era" years after the National Expansion
@@MaggieKeizai Thanks for leaving a dumb worthless comment on my comment, try doing something useful with your time in the future. I left a comment with my opinion of the lack of commentary in english, for the people who posted the video, not you, doofus.
henson, one of the GOAT, would match well with any wrestler in any generation (hogan, steve austin, shawn michael, kenny omega and seth freakin rollins....)
