The reboot hasn't been made yet, so you can't say what's better.

The new Sabrina series is not a reboot. It’s not connected to the original sitcom what’s so ever. It’s based on the recent horror comics called “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”. Now with the new show now out I gotta say the new show is A WHOLE LOT BETTER than the 90’s sitcom version. I grew up with it and I appreciate it for what it was but this new Sabrina.. god damn. It’s so story driven and it genuinely has a few scares.

K' Lapis The sitcom wasn’t the original. There’s the comic book series and this new Sabrina is true to the original source. Sabrina has always been a black Magix witch.. it is satanic and evil and that’s the point of the series. Sabrina the character doesn’t want to go down a dark path but she’s being forced to so she’s dealing with it the best she can and avoiding having to do satanic things.

I was going to say it's seasons 1-3 for me. They were so good.

I can't stand Harry Potter.

My guess is because Harry Potter was open-ended. The world was pretty big and inviting to young minds but I agree, Sabrina was cooler lol

+Mallika I grew up on Sabrina. And now I like Sabrina and cosplay Bellatrix. I don't think it's comparable, to be honest. Sabrina has the modern vibe, with less murder. It's a comic, a series and it's about typical teenage problems, how to live your life, whether magic or not would fix it, etc. Harry Potter is more about being abused and neglected by your family, being rescued and flown to a school, learning to write with quills, about stirring a potion óne second too long and turning it into poison. Or about having to choose between your own life and your friend's life in the seconds before murder. I think Sabrina has more superficial problems, if you don't mind me saying. It's more lightweight and it cheers you up, whereas Harry takes you for an emotional-rollercoaster-ride, where the only way out is to keep reading untill all is well. Harry's witnessing people dying or dismembering themselves and overcoming that horror and trauma through hard work, friendship and keeping hope. Again, it's not comparable. It's like asking someone why they prefer a thick winter's jacket to a pair of darkblue tight jeans.

I also wondered whether steven alvarez read the books or watched the movies. Seeing Harry mumble; 'This is where they are' and biting his lip when standing next to his parents grave, understandably has a whole different vibe if you compare it to the book. Something along the lines of; "Harry bit his lip, but the tears still kept coming. The loss he had been ignoring for all these years, was now becoming painfully clear. For a brief moment, Harry secretly wished he slept under the snow, with them. But then an overwhelming sensation of hope came over him and (blahblahblah")

I totally agree they should have been there but Sabrina did run for 7 years and Jenny was only on the first season, val- only in 2, and Libby I believe 3. though they should have been there, sometimes the actors have prior commitments that don’t enable them to make an appearance. Like I know Jenna Leigh Green who plays Libby does broadway which entails traveling so I think it just depends. They might have been to other comi-cons. But just not this one? 🤷🏼‍♀️

Well Josh, Morgan and Roxy were are in the same number of seasons as Libby so....

Yeah as much as I enjoyed the characters in the college arc, I would have LOVED to see Jenna Leigh Green (Libby). She just sits next to Melissa acknowledging her with an "ugh" then goes "Spellman."

She was awesome, one of the best characters. I didn't like the college room mates much apart from Miles who was also good. Libby and Miles were nice characters.

I'd also have Martin Moll, he was great as Mr Kraft.

Ironically it was better than Season 5 and season 6 in my opinion! although i missed Hilda and Zelda but Season 5 and 6 were the weakest!

I'm opposite you, I guess. I loved the bits of the show that I caught, but eventually it didn't stand the test of time for me. And MJH's politics, while it postdates the show AFAIK, doesn't sit well with me either.

She has a life and a career that isn't profiting off of Nostalgia (which is fine good for them they should profit off of their work) she can't drop everything to hang out with whoever when she's doing 8 shows a week on Broadway. That doesn't work.
