Thanks for popping up a video of him showing what the plastic tubing on the release strap is actually for, I could not figure it out for the life of me originally.

I never thought that is something I'd be interested in but after watching you guys shoot it makes me think I might give it a try.

I have had mine for about a month now and shot my first deer with it last weekend. It’s definitely different for a thumb release if used correctly. I’m satisfied with the purchase.

I am shooting this release right now. I like it because if there is any variance in my preload, I can get to the click and know that just a tiny more pressure its going off. With a thumb that has no click, every now and then, it would fire much faster or take far longer than Id like. I do think the click keeps it more predictable even if the pre load at full draw varies a little. I also like that it causes you to break ups your shot sequence into definable sections.. And if you add words to each part of the shot sequence it helps to keep your mind IN the shot and to NOT go on autopilot. Glad you covered this release

Great video! Love hearing the different takes on this release. As someone who just moved to a thumb release from an index this year, the click would probably not have been my first choice if it was available at the time. While Stan makes great releases ( I have the axis), my primary is the UV thumb, which in medium size seems like it was bespoke to my hand. BTW: Thanks for showing how the tubes on the release work. Personally, I just use a Lark's head knot on the UV release, as there is plenty of room to feed it thought without ever having to untie it. Makes it quick and easy to shift from being able to attach it to your loop and leave it hanging in a blind/ stand or secure it to wrist for a stalk.

I've got 3 months shooting mine and it took awhile for me to adjust. Got 2 deer 2 hogs with it this year so far. I ended up using it as Joel Turner intended (single digit manipulation). IMO this release is great for both hunting and target shooting if you can master Joel's ‎controlled process shooting, which is NOT for everyone. If you like shooting a click hinge release for target it's worth a try.

I really enjoy mine. It’s been elk hunting, shooting some indoor and about to go deer hunting. When your cold 🥶 or a little excited without the click your not sure how much pre load to do. The adjustment range for travel to the click and as well to fire is simple and crisp. The click for me is go time. Everything before it I’m setting up my shot aiming “ click “ my focus then becomes my back hand and working on slow steady quality execution. I also shoot my thumb release different and more like a hinge 🤷🏼‍♂️ I pre load my thumb and then use my finger beside my pinky rotate into my thumb and I hold it deep like you do. I guess I shouldn’t trust me either 😂

I'll have to try it again and play with the adjustments a bit, thanks!

I tried one. At first I really liked it, but then I didn't like it as much as a regular thumb. I think it's a good option for someone that is use to a hinge release with a click.

As joel turner desing that release, it a single digit activated ... so you push on it until it clicks then you pull trough. But i think they say once it clicks you keep putting preesure on yourn thumb ..no back tension...kind of messed out thing happening with back tension and squeezing the Button with your thumb...don't really get the point of that release.. you must try the scott verge! Same thing but on a 2 finger wrist release. I am pretty shure that Brianna is going to love it! 👌👍🙃👊🤘

From the Joel Turner videos I seen your supposed to get anchored, slightly move ur thumb to the click, Then You Pull thru the shot to make it go off, James gotta try that release again

The one and only complaint people have about Stan releases is the lack of a hole for a lanyard, so that solution is very cool

Your supposed to put pre load on it till it clicks so you know to pull through she is still using her thumb to fire it instead of relaxing her hand or actually pulling like joel turner says when the arm doesn’t move at all your doing it wrong

I don't like using the click, as it makes you anticipate the shot after you hear it. I just keep pulling through on my shot with the Stan Axis.

You are moving the thumb too fast. A command shot? Set it heavier? with longer travel BEFORE the click. You have to slow down the sequence to the click. Similar to a good two moon hinge where you can set travel to the click. Hopefully, Bri would get to be pulling thru better? IMO the click in the process is awesome. It like “ showtime “ NOW! Showtime is my mental “ go” word for like ever. Something is going to die!👍👍🔥

Seems like they are both shooting a thumb release as if it was a back tension????? Joel Turner would tell them they are shooting the release wrong.

It surprises and disappoints me when I see someone give a negative review on a product when the reviewer has not taken the time to read the instructions first and get it adjusted properly *before* trying it out. I see it in releases and bows too frequently. I ignore those reviews as being invalid.
