As if I needed to spend more money just got my press just got my draw board just ordered $600 worth of arrows and components components, now Stan has to go ahead and do this I already love the original version and here goes another $300 out of the wallet lol

I love the feel of my clicker. Still getting use to it tho. I have found that when I start getting fatigued I either start flinching at the click or I roll right through the click. Playing with the tension and travel to try and overcome this tho. Think I just need more reps and time with it tho

It is a great release. The more I shoot it, the more I like it. I used to flinch when I started shooting a hinge with a click, so I agree. More reps will help.

My local shop does not have much to choose from so trying them out is hard. I am also looking at Dudley's Nock2it vs this Onnex Clicker. Any thoughts?

The Nock2its are great releases. They are very crisp. I prefer the Carter releases over the Stan releases.

I’m switching from a wrist strap to a thumb button. I want to shoot Landcaster next year bow hunter division I having a hard time deciding which one to buy. What do you think? I’m going to use it for hunting as well. I don’t have target panic and don’t punch. Just not sure which one to start with.

I'm a big fan of Carter releases, but the Onnex lineup is also nice. If you like how the Onnex feels and shoots, you should get the click version. If you decide later that the click isn't for you, you can always adjust it so it doesn't click. The best thing to do is find a shop with a wide variety of buttons and start shooting them to see which one feels the best.

@josephhenderson7044 yes. The wise choice has been a long-time favorite of mine, and recently, I picked up Too Simple, which is the release I'll use in 2024. However, they do carry a bunch of other thumb button releases as well.

So can you take up all the travel after the click?

If you turn it clockwise until the release fires and give it a quarter turn counterclockwise (to ensure it doesn't prematurely fire), you've removed the click and set it to “zero” travel.

You set the travel for the click only. I set mine to have a small amount of travel to the click and I set the tension so when I add a little more pressure it fires.

Stan C vs UV Button? Which one you like better?

That's a tough call. They are both fantastic releases, but I like that the UV can be set to a true zero travel release, whereas the Stan, even at “zero” travel, still has some residual travel in the system before it fires. However, the click is nice.
