Yeah- but the point was that it’s not some conspiracy to screw everyone else over, and Hollywood isn’t exclusively Jewish. There’s a historical reason for a lot of Jews to work in Hollywood the same way there are historical reasons for certain race/ethnicity/religious distributions all around the world. So instead of saying something stupid like accusing any Jewish person in general of ruining hollywood, just have some common sense. Believing Kyle is running Hollywood would be like believing your black neighbor single-handedly started the BLM movement or that your Chinese friend has any say in what the Chinese Government does. In comparison to the population at large, these systems contain a very small portion of the groups that might make up their majority (or just a sizable percentage), and in cases like the BLM movement or Hollywood, technically anyone can be a part of it. They’re large organizations / groups, but it’s impossible for everyone who ‘meets the requirements’ to be a part of it, so why claim everyone of Jewish/African/Chinese descant is? This episode wasn’t making the argument that Jews don’t make up a large percentage of those involved in Hollywood. It was about people coming up with shitty reasons to be anti-Semitic (or hateful in general towards any group) by jumping to conclusions at the barest, simplest piece of information without putting any thought into why these things might be the case, and holding stigmas against individuals who have nothing to do with it in the process. So I don’t really know why so many people’s take away is just “Jews do run Hollywood, wdym”
Not really, that's just an old stereotype. But we do have corrupt elites who run Hollywood....only those guys tend to hate Jews, and they usually are against the state of Israel.
The whole point of the episode is too teach folk that hollywood is run by lots of different people And if you believe otherwise thats totally fine, but south park clearly doesnt
