I actually hate this song lol but stan sung it mean, So I dont want to take away from his performance its 🙌. However.... wear it at every tangi, and it's the most pōturi song haha.
Every time I hear this, it moves me to tears. As a Kiwi living in Australia, this song, among other Maori songs always makes me think of my motherland.. tissues please 😭🎶watching your reaction was heartfelt..you are a beautiful soul..thanks for posting..Kia Ora from Oz
@@EastCoast35HW uhm, no need to belittle one to rise up another. Prince Tui Teka would hate that. Any Maori would. Jealous you can't make wahine take their undies off with the sound of your voice aye?
One of many of the Polynesian people's favorite gospel songs! We all probably have a version in our own language! I love this version a lot though! ❤🤍🤍
One of the most amazing covers of this song How Great You Art. is b y a Maori Man from my home city of Rotorua New Zealand his name is Sir Howard Morrison. He was Knighted by the Queen of England. Howard crossed the rainbow some years ago and the day of his funeral the city came to a stand still.
Hunny thank you. I love Stan and all his family. Your reaction is so meaningful. I wish I could sing with you. I am a singer in my family. My Aboriginal Australian family. Shout out to you stay strong and God Bless x
All these people were contestants on Australian talent shows with the majority of them being Polynesian. Also, 'wh' is pronounced like 'f' in the Māori language 😊 love your reactions x
I keep telling people there is nothing like the maori voice. I was born in NZ and went to College, where 3/4 of the population were maori. I get the shivers everytime I hear a maori sing
Love how genuine your reaction was! Highly recommend you check out Tone 6 ‘Forever & Always by Shania Twain’ or any cover of theirs - they’re also based in Aotearoa (New Zealand) 🤎🤎✨
Stan Walker... circle of life ... inside out ... change is gona come ... take it easy ..... thank you .... human ..... come back home ....... don't worry ..... choose ..... lol the list could go on and on
My god, got so excited to see you did this one, been recommending it everywhere haha cause I know how powerful it is!!!! I keep coming back to it when I need an uplift, Glad you felt it and love it!!!
When you said you was going to cry earlier in the reaction I immediately said 'you're going to cry when we get to the end' and what do you know you're reaction was better than I was expecting and it actually kinda made me tear up 🥲 love this 🥰
Hi from New Zeakand. I have always loved this song, and it's beautiful in both Maori and English. That was amazing to listen to and I also love Sir Howard Morrison singing this song. Love your reactions. ❤
I have been watching you. And you have been a breath of fresh air.. I am guna subscribe to your Channel. You are the mostest Ray of Sunshine I have seen in a long time.. I Love you😘😘😘
Ohhhhhh this video made me a fan of yours!!! Pure authenticity! Encore! Please react to Australia-voice-celestial Uati or faith sosene other poly ppl that can sing
hahahaha, ive listened to this so many times that i thought it was just being recommended to me again, but it was you reacting to it! ahha Such a talented family. They have a tonne of videos of the family singing, check em out!
Thank you for sharing and supporting Stan Walker....thank you for enjoying listening to our native language! RESPECT TO YOU🖐😁👍❤️ yes it is "How great thou art"
Weldome to Aotearoa. Although this is normal in NZ for maori people, all cultures here are down to jam at any party. Whether your maori or another nationality, here in Aotearoa, we all are like this. Music keeps whanau together. No matter the skin colour, the religion or creed.
Yes my friend thats the beauty of listening to anything sung in our mother tounge it wakes that part in you where your ancestors live awakening you to your culture
Just rewatching after a few months. Maybe I am a little reflective due to the sad death of our Queen HM Queen Elizabeth, but I always think of her with this song. I would like to recommend (if you see this after so long) that you look at Sir Howard Morrison singing Whakaaria Mai, it is powerful. He was an iconic singer in NZ and an absolute legend.
You have suck a lovely soul I love to watch your reactions!! Much love for your family and the loss of your Grandmother ❤️ I would love to see you react to some Kapa Haka videos you will love it, Te iti Kahurangi Bathe in the river Much aroha brother ❤️
Wh at the beginning of Maori words has the sound F! So it’s sounded fok-Karia-my (whakaaria-Mai) it really is a beautiful sounding language and Maori songs are almost always sung with amazing harmonies.
Of all the reactions on yt, this is my fave Stan reaction because it's old song and you give a very genuine reaction in your facials actions and comments. I love seeing all the artists here too, Angel, Stan, Angels mum, Fortunate, Barry, (I know the girl in the red dress dang can't remember her name but she's Maori philipino, the guy in the grey I don't know him lol and Angel (she's Tongan) at the end. Stan has so many cool songs on RU-vid since 2009. Great to see the old covers reacted to. Thank you 😊
Glad you back on the Stan Tram lol, but was wondering if you could react to ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yblB87dpJGc.html Maisey Rika, a beautiful New Zealand woman with her heart in her land, this is a beautiful song, in their native tongue, it is about Tangaroa, the one who protects the Sea.
