Stan Whitmire is the best pianist I know. And when he plays, the Holy Spirit fills the room along with the sound of the keyboard. There’s nothing better than an anointed musician playing anointed music.😊
Stan, you were my husband’s favorite. He played and always said you’d stolen his best chords. He passed at age 78 and although you play better than he did (… he quit playing professionally in his mid 30’s and through the years he lost some of his magic) … but I sometimes I can hear him in your playing. When he was four and five he’d play his piano lesson perfectly, but in the wrong key. 😆 He always had that knack and could arrange as well. What a shame his family never encouraged him or thought he could make a living playing. Such feeling was present when he played those old hymns and loved them so much, too. His mom also could play by ear and was a cousin to Philip Paul Bliss. I had your CDs playing in the church for his going home service. Thank you for those beautiful cds. Your first Christmas CD was always our favorite at Christmas.
I can listen these beautiful hymns with variations for hours and never get tired. God bless those hands. I dream we will have worship songs, angels singing and praising our Saviour in Heaven.
Stan, thank you! Your gift is great. In the late 1900 'S I was a violinist with the Mt. Paran Orchestra and was blown away with the way you play. Have gone many places since and always used you to inspire and instruct pianists I work with.
Lovely...I can sit and listen to this for hours on end. Thank you Stan for sharing.. (You're like an old friend, from many hours of the Gerald Wolfe Hymn Sings Videos !!!)
My Admiration For You and Your Playing Is The Highest I Can have For A Person and Pianist. On Sunday Mornings When You Played Unfailing Love With The Congregation That Falling-Chromatic You Put In That Song Used To Make Me Cry Every! Single! Time! LOL! The Other Thing I Love About You Is Your Sincere Humble Spirit. Of ALL Your Piano Album And Resources At Your Disposal... You Simply Sit Down And Play Your Heart Out. Theres No Need For A Sixty Two Piece Orchestra Its Just YOU, Its STAN WHITMIRE EXPOSED AS HE REALLY IS AND LIVES HIS LIFE. Your The Real Deal Friend.
Stan, you not just professional pianist, there are annoiting of God on your playing. You blessed so many people through the personal touch and style on hymns. Thank you and may God inspire you to lead people to the Lord in that 🎶
I agree, for years Stan Whitmire has been my favorite gospel pianist, and for the very reasons you mention. His comments to me in correspondence have have been full of testimony. My Mother is 91, and I love playing his videos and music for her. He inspires.
Simply, thank you. Your humility and grace flow through your music. Your music continues to bless and inspire. On a practical level, your textures and chord progressions are masterful. Have listened (yes even on CD) and tried to replicate for years. Yet, you still hear chords that no one else seems to! 😊 Indeed God is Good!
I like your music, but I do have a suggestion for your future music and its in your sound system. I do other things while I listen to your music. When you play the sound is very loud; and I have to turn the volume down; and when you talk you have a low volume to your voice and I have to adjust the volume up. I work in a small office and I have to constantly adjust the volume.
