its not really the depth its more the weight you have on the end of your line and the size of fsh youll come across id use the 8-15kg overhead if I was you
ok cheers for that. and fish size is just what we get in nsw so morwong just over a kilo or 2 snapper same size only thing is chance of kingies and stuff id probably take both rods n see how it goes
your obviously taking a boat..... just use your sounder obviously we had it on zoom for bottom third of water column because it was hard to see the fish on nomral screen. and flick some small softies around the islands for yellowtail (pike) to use for bait. fish plastics from 4-7 inches around islands for trout with about 1/2 ounce heads 40lb leader minimum and lock your drag up!!
