We are travelling on Princess soon in a balcony stateroom. I’m not worried about the balcony size and prefer the one like yours rather than one where people above can see and possibly drop stuff on you. The amount of time you actually spend on the balcony would be very little. Compared to all the activities that the ship offers. Too many people whinge about the size but don’t actually use it.
Hi thanks for the comment 😄 You are absolutely right the balcony is perfectly fine for sitting out and enjoying a coffee or two but we’d rather be out and about on the ship as well. We were on deck 10 and it was great we weren’t over looked and when it rained, we were in Norway 🇳🇴, it was completely sheltered! 😀
I noticed the same issue with the balcony size on our Enchanted cruise in April. I even wrote it up in the Enchanted forum. There's not even enough room to slide a chair around the small table to get both chairs on one side. You have to actually lift the chair over the table.
Thanks for commenting. I think most modern cruise are now adopting smaller balconies, it’s was absolutely fine for sitting out and enjoying the views. You are right though, you can’t do much more than sit on it. 😃
