The Standard J1 was a basic trainer manufactured in the United States between 1916 and 1918, after the First World War many of them were sold as surpluses on the civil market.
Camilo Daza, one of the first pilots in Colombia acquired one of these aircraft in 1922, he called it "Bolívar".
