Woww! Thank you! The first thing I feel when I pull the top of my head up is this thickening of the front of the throat.. comforting. I think we sometimes try to escape that feeling by popping the chin up ....
Thank you. I'm relatively new to QiGong and very much liked your clear and detailed instruction. I loved when you said the roof re the arch of the foot :)
Thanks, this really hits all the muscles in my neck and upper back that have been giving me pain due bad posture. Question: Do you do all other standing Qigong movements/routines from this posture? Also, is it a good idea to practice this posture while doing computer work/reading at a standing desk, potentially for many hours?
Terrific explanation, thank you! Very much appreciated :) I have some questions please - How far apart should our feet be when we stand? Also, is there something we should do after standing in the position before coming out of it and carrying on with the rest of our day? One more, can you please explain why we hold the right hand in the left and not the other way (left in right)? Thank you again!
Practice from the old masters say right over left for male, left over right for female, in these times maybe it's considered sexest to diffientiate. About five years ago I stepped into a class the instructor a female put her right hand over her left, I pointed out traditionally for female it should be left over right, she replied we have no sexism here, as to feet apart the hips should be inside the feet and the knees not over the toes, iv'e been practicing thirty years
