You explained these hazards far better and more thoroughly than any tai chi or qi gong teacher I have had over the years. Thank you!

Thank you Nick for mentioning Ben Patrick!! I always hesitated to join his ATG training with my torn ACL but now I will try. Sad that he doesn't mention the chinese influence of his excercises..

Thank youuuuu! I sometimes have a feeling a little soreness on the inside of my knee, and I think it’s from hyperextending and rotating. Rotating from the qua from now on. Thank you!

The cue to think of moving the butt backward while rooting (sinking) the tailbone down was very helpful for me, thank you. It really changed my whole practice and I can feel stability and strength growing in my glutes and inner thighs, which are typically weak and sleepy areas for me. Thanks so many millions.

Super helpful! I realize I’ve been doing some of the things you suggest not to and my firm has not been correct. 😊

Thank you, Nick. This happened to me when I started Qi Gong and have managed to figure it out by listening and watching you. You are truly awesome! Thanks for this video. ❤🙏🏻

Excellent video. I'm new to gigong and have knee issues from years of yoga practice when in the beginning I wasn't given this kind of valuable instruction. I remember one time in particular when a teacher asked everyone to move into Gomukhasana (cow face pose) and as I moved my lower body into position I heard one of my knees pop. It was a painful, yet vitally important lesson. From then onwards I became a lot more mindful of what was happening in my body when practicing yoga and I haven't had any injuries since. Be gentle with your body and your body will thank you for this kindness many, many times over.

Hi Nick. Thank you for posting this useful video. I have some doubts regarding the feet position. In most Chinese practice videos I see that they keep their feet parallel, while on some other videos I see feet are often facing out. I have this doubt for a while wondering if the incorrect position might have an impact on the knees. Thank you for clarifying when you can.

Thanks Nick. This is excellent instruction. A mirror is a good idea, which I use on occasion, but now I have a few things to specifically watch out for.

Thank you Nick! Extremely important! I have found I cannot do those seated lifts in your roots video where you have one leg tucked in. 😔

Great information clearly and concisely presented, really deserves more views, unfortunate how youtube's algorithm prioritizes yoga porn videos over videos like this one that helps people!

Thank you! More like this please. Personally, when I do the flows, I think I'm too tight, like I'm trying to strength train instead of relaxing. Any tips for that? I actually found you and Qi Gong when Yoga started setting off hip pain. I like Qi Gong so much better!
