Stanford Cardinal vs. Texas Longhorns, 2016 NCAA Women's Volleyball Championship Match. The Cardinal winning its seventh women's volleyball title. Vote on this video!
This is the super seniors' first. Re-viewing it after Stanford has become "head and shoulder above the rest" of the NCAA, winning its 8th title, 3rd in 4 years.
Still hoping that Inky can recover from her injuries after college and have the pro career we all know she can. Hoping she can make an impact on Team USA too!
The cardinals were very fortunate to have Inky leading the team because at times throughout the tournament she became the glue that encouraged the rookies to keep on fighting and made awesome contributions when it came to kills and blocks she made in order for them to keep on moving along. If it wasn't for Inky Stanford would not have even come close to winning the top prize. Go Pak 12.
@@MrGbremer This is true! And I'm so happy that she has become a strong opposite player. I believe I wrote that comment when she still wasn't the strongest at that position.
@@oliviasoza3667 had to google it. They were the nation's top recruit, suffered "a series of concussions that were improperly treated" at Stanford that lead them to medically retire
lol you talking about Inky Ajanaku? and no she was a senior and she graduated, she is now part of USAWVT and signed a contract to play Pro with Foluke's former team, she got injured and being rehabbing and by now I think she is healing well... and she never transferred or anything started and finished at Stanford with a human biology and a masters in biology (am such a fan of her) sorry
Does anyone know if you can play volleyball in college if its your first time or would you have to have some type of prior history of playing volleyball? I would really love to try out when I enroll in college, but I don't know if I would be able to.
Devine Being it’s a recruitment process. Usually no, unless you are really really good and one of the athletes already on the team recommends you to the coach. Then you would have “try-outs”, but usually no...
1:21:26 IM TIERD OF HOLLY! Get your facts right! This is the 5th mistake I’ve counted in the 3 championships I have watch of Stanford. Michela White (mispelled) was not the national freshman of the year, KATHRYN PLUMMER WAS! Holly, get the damm facts right I’m tiered of these REALLY BAD information mistakes!!!
Plan for success: "Believe in Inky"? I don't know man, I think they should believe with their selves that they are capable and able to execute things. It's nice that they have Inky in their team but shouldn't you be uplifting everybody up instead of just one player you've got? This is a team sport. And what did they call themselves? Inky and inkettes? Lol
and I don't get this but in 9:13 a libero just made a service? If I can comment a meme here, I'd certainly post the kansas-arkansas-I-am-confusion-girl meme
Inky was one of their leader during this season. She served as an edifice of positivity and emotional strength for the team. She was leading the pep talk for their team in the entire conference. She kept telling and instilling in the mind and heart of her teammates that they were great, they were capable and they were worthy of getting the championship trophy. The concept of “Believe in Inky” means believe that whats she was saying to her teammates were true. By that they emerged victorious. Their plan was right and on point, don’t you think?
saw Kiraly face, and her strategy at Rio, last set against serbia in semis olympic make me sick,,he need outside spiker like destinee hooker, the gold in hand already gone,,USA need Lang Ping back as their coach.
Yep, much harder, partly because they're so damned tall. I'm not sure what the poster means by "finesse." With the relaxed rules on ball handling, I think there is a lot less finesse now than in the past.
