I remember the kind of thermos bottles that were lined with glass. One of my funniest memories was when I was in grade school and a school friend accidentally dropped her thermos. We happened to be near a level change that had about six steps. The thermos rolled down the steps, and each step everyone could hear the glass shattering in thousands, then even more thousands of pieces as it bounced down each step. I don't know why it struck me so funny, but I laughed so hard that I had tears rolling down my face and hard a hard time catching my breath.
