I grew up in Boston and remember this era and the photo on the front page of I guess it would been The Globe or the Herald or both 🤷🏻♂️ (I’m 65 now and wasn’t paying attention to that detail while watching this video) like I recall years before the arial shot of the Woodstock festival and the moon landing vividly etc etc anyway the weird thing is I somehow came across an old Life magazine a few years back out here in LA which I would have seen when it came out etc etc before and that iconic photo in it as we always got just about every magazine imaginable delivered to my boyhood home just on the edge of Hyde Park and West Roxbury in Milton MA sooooo I did study the photo and was amazed when I looked @ the tubby ass dude standing in the upper left with his hands in his jacket pockets and was stunned when I recognized him to be a Roslindale/Hyde Park hood that use to work for my Dads commercial woodworking shop @ 1645 Hyde Park Ave. e.g. his name is/was Ritchie Cunningham and he was pretty chill… but ran with a bad crew… some of whom use to bully the hell out of me e.g. “the proverbial bosses son” . I was just a Jewboy from the burbs but I’ve put a lotta miles on since then and I don’t cave to easily these days… but back then I was literally caught up in the middle of all this b.s. from all sides and have many real near death stories to tell many from that hardcore era in Beantown. Life is strange that’s the only damned thing I’m sure of… that and the only thing that makes us equal except in the eyes of the law so they say is that we’re all going to die . My grandfather was killed by a group of black youths in retaliation for this. They crushed his skull while he was stopped at a red light. He was only 34, on his way home from work. When police arrived 100 people were around chanting "let him die". Richard poleet was his name.
True. It would have not been required if only whites had followed the law to begin with and respect the rights of others. Strange how that never is mentioned.
They were racist, more racist than anything I have seen in the SOUTH! Look at the evil in their faces! White people always try to portray themselves as innocent, but they have been vicious in the United States. They dont want the world to see this.

Noticing a pattern yet?. You have to be to the left of Mao to get one. Of course he is hyper focused as portraying certain people as racist, hyper focused on that to the exclusion of everything else.
Exactly this picture is very famous but no one knows the case of case of Evelyn Wagner a white motorist who ran out of gas in Roxbury. As she returned to her car with a gas tank some black youths forced her to douse herself in gasoline then lit her on fire. She died in the hospital 4 hours later. That is about 1000x worse than what happened here, but the color of the attacker doesn't fit the narrative.
@@georgea.567 Just looked up the Wagler story. Horrible, horrible crime. I think Forman just happened to be downtown knowing there might be protests in that area and got lucky snapping this iconic and sad photo. Even though Wagler was in a really nasty neighbourhood it's an outrage that residents would have heard her screams but none came forward to police. I found another story from D Street in South Boston in 73. African American man George Pratt getting out of a cab and about to enter his house. Gets bottles hurled at him by two white men then is fatally shot from the roof by a sniper. Again, lots of fear in the neighbourhood so the sniper(s) were eventually acquitted.
