Well, I like the bright red for working in the yard, because I would be able to find it in the grass, but the tactical Batman version is super cool. The full bling is fun to look at, but too nice to want to use. 👍😁👍

My selection, in order; 1. Full detail, combination, polished, red paint & silver highlights, 2. Blued handle, 3. Paint. There's something to be said for leaving it, as is. There was a lot of history in the wear and tear.

Wow, I really liked all 3. Probably my favorite was the full bling version because it reminds me of a Swiss Army knife, followed by the blued version, but I would be just as happy with staying true to the original with the simplistic repaint.

Such a simple design yet highly effective and cutting edge. I am partial to the bare metal look but off the choices I'll say tactical black. I like the Dremel trick to add the stippling.

Always great to see the cast iron Stanley knives. My all time favorite is sanded down and buffed then a coat of clear shellac... I just love those classic knives... Great stuff!

I like them all but I have to admit the tactical black is really neat looking. Going back over the stippling with the small diamond bit made it look more like the sand casting texture on the knife. Thanks for sharing this.

They are all great, I prefer the solid red, when you are using it, and set it down, and then go back to find it, that little baby will stand out like a sore thumb. I try to paint all my "small tools" a bright color, I always seem to "lose them" in plain sight, but once paint a bright color, no more hiding.

For me Magdad, the tactical black barely edged out the full bling. I love doing utility knives and i have done them with paint and mirror finish on the smooth parts. I now think im going to try your tactical black version. Thanks for the ideas sir! ✌🇺🇸

For me Tactical Black just pips Full Bling for first place (Original Red was never in the running). Up until today I always considered this early incarnation of the Stanley knife rather ugly, and I'm still astounded at the transformation you've pulled off here. I guess it's the pronounced contrast between polished and stippled steel that does it. Fabulous work. PS... fun cameo voice-in by MagDaughter !

Well I have to say I was not impressed with the red at all but if I was producing them to sell I would go with the red just because that was probably the quickest and cheapest. The tactical black was nice and does look good but for me I have to choose the awesome full blown bling. Great video Magdad! Thank You for sharing 😃

I like all the versions, but I choose a 4th version- blue the knife and red in the center. I think that you need to find more 1299 knives and be fair to all. Seriously, they all look great, well done!

I really like it at the bare metal stage, but the blued finish came out well ! The restoration to original looked a lot better match under the 2nd better light, I would have been interested to see that one with the high gloss knocked back a little, as the original paints never seemed to be that shiny and I think it would feel better in the hand maybe also with a polished screw for contrast, although I know that was not original !
