Very, very nice job Keith. One of the best restorations so far. Look forward to the next one of the pile. That pile must be a treasure for plane lovers like me. Regards, Paul
I don’t know where you learned your video style, but I do know that I love it and watching your restoration videos always brings me joy. Thanks for doing what you’re doing!
Beautiful plane and sweet finish on that oak. Wish I could afford her. I'd rather have a 113, but a 20 1/2 would dobthe job. I guess for now I'll have to stick with a fine toothed band saw and block plane/sharp chisel (convex) followed by that dreaded sandpaper. Sand paper is great for rust removal, but I prefer the burnishing of iron on wood for the wood.
I have a plane like the circular. Not sure what the number is. My problem is the the sole where it is "riveted" is separating any suggestion on how i may reattach the sole? thanks
I Wish mine ran like that! I recently bought a No 20 circular plane off eBay and I'm having issues with the sole adjustment. I think the main threaded rod is boogered. anyone sell replacement parts for these old planes? I have an old 113 and it runs great.
