Every indigenous communities needs more treatment plants

The problem is maintenance on these specific water treatment plants has to be constant and professional and by that I mean no what your doing so the money needs to be their to keep and pay people to keep it running. You just can’t go with the run to failure mentality. We have one in Nazco with no one to run it.

I work in the industry and I wish I could do more for first nations around our city. The government does not do enough to support the grants required to build/upgrade facilities.

About time

Every reservation should have their water treatment and sewage totally modernized and payed for by the government. Every nickel spent should be accounted for, to the people of Canada in an exceedingly transparent way. There should be no blind giving of millions of dollars and then let the "dollars" fly where they may. Total accountability at every level with severe consequences for people pulling money off the top or over charging. I'm sick of seeing my money being blindly given to some entity strictly on trust. I don't trust the government to do the right thing and I don't trust the people that run the reservations to do "the right thing". None of this "trust but confirm", I'm for no trust and extreme oversite at all levels.

Good stuff hopefully they can build a mosque and attract migrants to come to the community and help give them some diversity which Canada desperatly needs.

Hire your smartest. Don't let stupid folks run that.

Why would these people want a treatment plant from colonizers, they drank this water for thousands of years without a treatment plant and were just fine.

Congratulations! It's about time to have equal opportunity for Aboriginal peoples to now have clean drinking water in 2024.
