This is a pretty cool show! Never heard of it. Wished they'd make a video game bout this but wayyyyy too many rights would have to be paid. Ugh. That general Lee, in reality, would of destroyed that delorean! I mean 32 hundred pounds?! It only originally registered 85 (NOT 88) MPH on its odometer. Look it up.
On the turtle van... If you're going to go through all the trouble to convert a VW bus, why not go the extra mile and drop in a built 2200cc motor with a pair of empi or webber two barrels? You could make the Turtle van into a beast.

I'm rather surprised the Gran Torino won, probably would have been different if the Charger had a 440 in it. So many automatic transmissions though, very bad for drag racing!
Have to say the guy with the General Lee should be a shame of himself for having a 318 not a 440 or at less a 383! Mind you a stock Chrysler 383 is 330-335 HORSE POWER. With that motor it would all ready be beating almost everyone there if he new how to drive it, let alone if the motor was made into a strocker! Then you get into the gears in the rear end as well! 3.23s are not bad if you want, just make sure it's a SURE GRIP set-up (posi for you chevy guys) but 3.55 or lower are even better! Not saying that the General Lee should have beaten everyone there but should have done a lot better than that! As for the old KITTs those guys, they should have had Turbo Boost (NOS) in them! That would have been really cool!

Actually, you may not know it but bumblebee and herbie have a lot in common. they both are talking cars, they both are sorta cheery and carefree in a way..and they both have been driven by asshole celebs. (shigh lebouf for bumblebee and Lohan for herbie)
