A long time ago when box deliveries was first launched as tier 0 tech, they did start off with very simple single box delivery missions, often with pick up and drop off on the same planet. They worked quite well and it was a great way for new players to make some decent cash in their starter ships. But when they wanted to expand the tech they started making it multiple boxes across different planets and they took away the simpler versions of the missions. The original missions weren't broken. The reasons the devs gave on spectrum was that they wanted to encourage players to test the newer mission types. There are many things over the years that worked just fine that have been taken away to try and funnel the players to play the bits that the devs want us to test.

That's true, they did the same with salvage. On patch 3.23 you'll have a loss depending on the contract you get, like there's an Arrow contract that you'll pay 20k for salvage rights but if you scrape the ship clean and disintegrate it, you will be able to make only 18k out of it. It's just ridiculous.

Lot of things are still broken. Like trading... Search missions etc etc

I assume the door is broken instead of the mission being broken. Just another simple thing being broken that affects many things. That means you also can't buy commodities from that outpost, not just the box mission being affected.

I had a box placed on the Constellation elevator. When the elevator went up the box disappeared.

Yeah, the system is very fragile. I almost lost a lot of boxes because I stacked them in the Ursa.

love that the new distribution centers have a more dedicated delivery mission focus. Was afraid CIG forgot about that field of jobs. You can turn of the camera shake in settings under "G-Force Induced Head-bob" & "G-Force Induced Head Movement" Just make sure to set it at 0 or at the desired amount. I couldn't find a setting that stopped the hud from shaking tho.

Yeah and the fact that you can pick up a lot of delivery packages from one single place and distribute them is pretty cool, it makes the logistic missions feel more immersive. It's just sad that they're still broken and unfortunately, it's very common to see yourself abandoning the mission because of some weird bug.

Yesterday first time ever i did mission to delivery 5 boxes, it worked.

This is a very old defect but it does not seem to impact the fundraiser so no need to fix it, apparently. Enjoy the bugs.

When I have hsd a door not work I have left it, done some other boxes and come back later. Don't know if this works every time? Taking multiple box missions at once can be gppd as the locations ofter overlap.

I think big ships like that should not be able to just hover in any orientation. They should handle like big ships in the sky and not like a small quadrocopter :( It would make us respect them a bit more and fly more realistically.

The truly large ships are a beast to handle in atmosphere. MSR isn't really that big

I agree with you I think the flight model must be improved a lot, especially after this master mode BS. The ships feel more like paper than ever, especially smaller ships. But Dominus4776 is right, big ships like Reclaimer and 890j are a beast to handle.

@@FreakMouse I don't mind some of master modes, but not having a shield can be a huge detriment while just trying to get around quickly. I wish they'd have a middle ground. Maybe shields regen much slower

@Dominus4776 My problem with MM is how it made the ship handling feels. Before it was already not great, I always thought they should handle better like they should have more weight, and during atmo flight, it should suffer more aerodynamic effects you know, we should have to fight with the controls at least a little to keep the ship stable during atmo flights.

I have a friend I'm trying to get into star citizen. He keeps getting frustrated by bugs and performance (His computer was good... seven years ago). It's hard to do stuff without running into bugs. I would take him mining in a mole but worried about mining UI bugs. Tried showing him around ILW expo but performance or lag was horrible, kept stuttering or freezing for a few seconds at a time. He fusses a lot and I'm trying to defend the game, but it's hard when he's not wrong about it being so buggy after 10+ years in development. I'll try taking him on a mole and if that does not work I'll help him rent a ROC and take him mining. At least ROC arm is fixed now :) This guy has spent 4000+ hours on Elite Dangerous, I think he would like this game if he sticks to it.

If you have a Reclaimer, you can bring it with you for salvage work. However, don't use it for gathering construction materials as they are worthless. Instead, have it use the scrapper turret to collect RCM (you'll have to engage in illegal salvage to make money) as they are worth 15k per scu. The challenge will be finding large ships to salvage since their numbers were reduced in patch 3.23, but if you manage to find some, it will be very profitable and provide a fun and functional gameplay loop. You can also take him for bunker missions, which are usually enjoyable and work well, especially when done with friends.

It would have paid me 15k. I know it's not much and there are tons of other jobs in the game that pay way better than this, but it's not only about the money. I truly enjoy this gameplay loop, and it's said to be the most broken.

Just add it to the pile. This is why I had to uninstall. I am tired of being a fake tester for a game that will never go 1.0. There is no reason to actually ever get out of alpha with how much money they make a month.

i love being a space UPS driver, i’ve done a ton of delivery missions and only had a few problems, i might just be lucky
