I really hope that when things are in full swing, they add things without actually announcing them to us. Even if they announce at a Citcon, "we have added or will add xx number of fauna". While its nice to see all of this, I do want a factor of randomly running into something, not knowing if its friendly or not and being like: "what the f.. is that" "can I get near it" "is it tough" "is it fast"
Hopefully CIG can get the AI animals to T-pose and stand on chairs before they are introduced in to the game; otherwise they will be immersion-breaking for the role-players :D
Imagine that: you're deep in a microtec cave. The med beacon you're responding to has been weirdly silent. No response in global after an all caps WTF. you scramble down another set of orange cliffs to find the target, long since afk, rage-writing a post on Reddit already. Then immediately after you jab him with a hemozol you hear the tic tic tic tic tic of a massive cave spider approach. You turn and the last thing you perceive is an enormous t-pose spider gliding across the cave floor spewing acid from where it's head should be. ❤ I honestly can't wait. It's going to be hilarious and THEN it will be terrifying.
I would like to see some backstory where the space whales occasionally comes out from the clouds of Crusader to either mate or let the humans clean them from the parasites that made home to their bodies like what real animals in our planet sometimes do.
I believe in lore they rise above the clouds to "breathe" the high pressure of the inner atmosphere means they need to "surface" occasionally....I think.
I can see the mech suit being a main way of hunting the bigger/harder animals to capture/kill. Especially if there in places like caves where ships/ground vehicles couldn't get through.
Oh certainly, just imagining an Alien style battle of like player in mech vs large alien creature thats easily tearing apart your crew. Should be really fun
i realy hope that the anmiels are more than set tressing and proper ai but i have i hope and also cool that ther is so much lore about it! maby we will get also Zoos as a location
Sounds like the goal is to create fauna in the same way we have them in some open world games such as Far Cry and Red Dead? So they would be systemic and could interact with each other, or maybe "kited" to enemy bases?
A single space marine with some kind of bait in his hand is charging at your base from over a hill. As you begin to aim towards him with your mounted gun, you gaze on in awe and horror as a horde of space capybaras rise from behind the hill.
Hopefully these are implemented much better than the ones in Starfield. I think to an extent less is more, both in terms of density on a planet and the amount of planets that more unique creatures are on. It doesn't make sense for a highly specialized apex-predator mega-crab to be found in every desert known to man, or for mammals to happen to exist on every planet.
It kinda seems like they are leaning towards overly "fantasy" looking creatures, like crazy spikes and tentacles and luminescent colors. I like the more realistic looking ones like the old star wars movies.
We don't know how different stellar radiation or varying levels of gravity would affect evolution, though; the golden ratio is all throughout nature on Earth, but there's no guarantee it's a universal constant.
There’s only humans in the game there’s no aliens or bots robots androids nothing else and everyone has the same build. They ought to be tall people, short, fat, and skinny.
The nice thing is that they can do many more than one thing at a time. I'm glad they aren't just doing one thing at a time or it would be much longer before it was done.
So there's no value in research, a script, or references. It's all about what's on the screen for you? Those could have just been me talking to a camera, that's half of RU-vid.
This is going to be comical to say the least, Star Citizen already has the record for the dumbest AI in any game, will it be possible for the NPC's to be as dumb as one of these creatures..........quite possibly?
