They describe simple game mechanics and embellish with a backstory to make it sound interesting. But the verbal embellishments are just in their heads and not in the game.
It really seems as if there is a whole sale lack of basic intelligence at CIG. It's like they don't even realize they are making the world's most expensive turd.
They say all of this but when it's released and you arrive, missions are busted, NPCs are froze and it's basically other players flying around killing other players. This is of course after it takes you 1 1/2 hours to get your gear(that you lose and can't get back), your ship ( if it doesn't explode) meet up with your friends (if they don't explode/die) and if you're lucky enough to avoid the server crashes.
beneath my malice for CIG i have a modicum of respect for these CIG employees. Creating stories and hype around absolute nothingness and bullshitery is a hard job. They look like the community interaction team but in reality they are some of the best salesmen on the planet. Selling absolutely nothing for hundreds of millions a year is a true feat
11:24 "unlike stanton, there is no atc" - CIG bullshit conversion "we don't know how to fix constant atc bugs in stanton so lets remove it and call it a feature of this desolate scrapyard in a lawless system which for some reason still has resources to fix interstellar spaceships"
Can't wait for SC 4.0 when it releases alpha in 2057, i'm so hyped. I'll probably be dead of old age by then but some good things are worth waiting for.
If you watch remotely closely, you can see that even within Pyro they reuse the sh*t out of the assets. I really don't get how that took 8 freaking years. Some may thing, its because of server meshing. No, no they could just make server 2 only for pyro. But it indeed took them that long. They created all the extraordinary tools to be super fast to create one system in 8 years xD
They just dont have enough people working on making a game. All their workforce is in marketing, sales, ships (mostly new ships to drop ready to fly, not even working much on the ones already sold. lol) and just... keeping the backer´s money I guess. good old CIGreed 😅
@@gemreviews2840 funny thing is if their people are tied up in marketing and sales of ships they f*cking suck. I tried to buy a 890 yesterday, kept getting error code when adding it to my cart so I reached out to request they sell me one. Got told the 890 must be out of stock and they can't sell me one/can't help me 🤣🤣🤣 wtf, how is a digital ship out of stock. Absolute 💩💩💩💩💩 how do you pass up $950?
Always have loved Eradicators content and we need a Devils Advocate. Star Citizen is artistically beautiful, but he’s right, you can’t do anything. It’s unplayable. There is no combat that’s any good or exploration that does anything. You can salvage, prospect, mine, scavenge stuff, but even with millions of credits and tons of ships, nothing works.
Am I too deep into NMS or the below things are really a thing? 02:50 graphically speaking, this looks way below No Man's Sky, especially if you consider the paradise planets and the new water 04:59 looks like NMS autophages barracks 07:38 Looks like some of the planet ground bases in NMS 08:33 NMS solar panels 09:08 looks a lot like a copy of NMS planet ground save points 09:47 looks like no man's sky dissonant planets ressonators 13:51, 14:08 Regular Vy'keen settlement hahahaf
@@gemreviews2840 I"ve seen a youtuber posting a paradise planet today that is absolute cinema. You really wanna put on VR sit down and chill just observing the landscapes
@@gemreviews2840 Well no, all the "aliens" are still straight from the Nickelodean and all the billions of planets are still just variants of the base 6. If you've seen 6 of them, you've seen them all. So, it's the same thing, not enough new and original stuff, everywhere. If you're honest and objective you will rage about ALL of them. But you don't. Because you're not honest or objective.
Hey can you do some good press on the game for like a few months ..... me and about 10,000 users are having a hard time selling our accounts .... LoL !!!!
Why would you think you can get spent money back?? That’s dumb. Anyway watching “Gem Reviews” rage like this is getting to be an entertaining daily watch for me. Star Citizen is living rent free in his head. And watching the slow spiral into insanity as he realizes 😢 he says is wrong, because he knows the game is advancing, people enjoy it and that he can’t quit anymore or people will call him on his BS.
@@charliemcawesome5012 and he is living rent free in yours (plus he got your view/interaction). Even commenting you are helping his channel. So i guess.....maybe he should thank you for your stupidity. You mention the game is advancing but where your opinion and reality conflict is the fact it's been advancing in the wrong direction. You claim the people are enjoying the game, well you can't prove that and i can't disprove it. What i can do is direct you to the multitude of complaints, endless readdit posts and forum posts on CIG forums. However, you could point to posts praising the game. It's a pointless exercise. You can make a claim on behalf of yourself, just don't make the mistake thinking that by saying "people are enjoying the game" it makes your point anymore valid. Valid critics of this game have made their points and defenders have made theirs. But back to your stupidity Returns are a thing and if you live within the EU, you have even more rights for a refund. But uneducated people spew crap like you have today.
Remember how they were Selling LIBERATOR ship that can transport smaller ships long distances trough the pyro... oh ye now they forgot about it... liberator wasn't even released lololol
There's several ships that can transport smaller ships long distances. They changed the name and you got all confused about it. It's not the lack of fancy ships that is the big problem with SC, it's exactly the opposite -- everything else BESIDES all the fancy ships that is the problem.
So if they get rid of bed logging. All people who have bought a capital ship with multi crew has to dock every time the owner of the ship needs to go to bed And also what happened to “exploration”. Explore until you have to bed. Then you have to go back to a hanger😂😂😂😂 Great immersion
Ah yes, we finally get to play 'press F multiple times and watch paint dry' simulator on foot, with mundane things, before dying to absolutely anything and everything thereby spawning back in Stanton, two or more IRL hours away from where you started. Wowow. Pyro, where people dangerously farm potatoes and scrape panels to become fully-fledged Star Peasants. Wowowow. TL;DR: Jesus f*cking Christ CIG.
i always thought they just had big aspirations and under-delivered accidentally. The more i hear and see from CIG the more i realise they are straight up lying. Very unimpressed. I'm building up quite the tolerance to the hopium.
Star citizen should bring a mobile rts gatcha team base leaderboard game. That way they can use something like that to populate the planets. Some of those mobile rts team base hero card games have hundreds of maps with teams and individuals on each map.
Honestly, the only takeaway from this latest video, is that it is 100% cinematics, with zero actual gameplay footage. They're so full of sh*t. Just like SQ42; 100% cinematics, with zero actual gameplay footage.
SC Dev : Thinks flying into a zone and mashing a button repeatedly until the game eventually opens a hangar door means they have ATC in the game... And what's the excitement over your ship catching on fire gameplay? Won't anyone going into combat just leave a door open or use a cutter to hack a hole in the hull? Now if my ship could crash into a planet and start a huge forest fire, that would be exciting gameplay!
CIG needs to work on the game mechanics and focus on homestead building withing the Stanton system. Stanton is a HUGE system but there is nothing much to do.
it feels like there are two companies inside CIG. Devs and marketing. What we see in ISC and so on is from marketing, what we "play" is from the devs. But anyways, CR needs to step down. Imo, he is the #1 main blocker of progress towards release. He will always push to add more and use new technologies. But there is always more and PC-tech will always be developed further. So there is no end and no release. He is a filmmaker and prefers eye candy over gameplay. Thats why SC is a screenshot sim and has almost no gameplay.
Can we have control of our cockpit lights yet? Can't see a damn thing for 10 years, have any of them ever operated a vehicle in real life? NOBODY DRIVES WITH THE INTERIOR LIGHTS ON
This would have been hot stuff 5 years ago. Now it's just kind of irritating hearing about all the stuff that may never come in any reasonable time frame.
So the ship event made my stuff go missing again. The last time (a month or two ago) my corsair and liveries bought with real money disappeared when there was a loaner corsair, submitted my issues and got no help (cig/rsi said they cant help me). Now with this new ship event my MSR and liveries once again bought with real money are gone but the loaner is there. Sent another message to get help, im sure ill get told to go f myself once again. Funny thing is i have over 2k in the game, and tried to buy a 890 yesterday. Kept getting an error code trying to add it to my cart so i reached out to see if they could sell me one and was told it must be out of stock and they cant help me 🤣 These absolute idiots basically told me they dont want my $950 because a digital ship is "out of stock". Holy 💩 they ALL absolutely suck.
They're promoting Pyro in this video like it's the first time any of us have seen Star citizen and we don't know what it looks like and what it's about. They are still trying to sell this to us on visually appealing places and people out in space. WTF
Well this is working, we can all see the results, money is flowing in, so why would they change course? From their perspective it would be madness to touch this cash cow, or even think about changing anything. It's sad, but it's also the reality.
if they dont have any farms or towns or citys with people in them, why are they making this solar flair, maybe get cargo to stop disapearing, ships blowing up, decide once and for all what ui system your gona use, and make it work, how about putting everything you have on one server and see if you can meash them together, try something show us a full game.
So you can visit a place that has been invaded by raiders, or visit a place that was trashed by a tornado.. feels like players are always arriving late to the good stuff
Allthough i do agree CIG can deffinately do better, i see myself forced to play Devil's Advocate abit! Why ? Because a SciFi work of art - movie, game etc - is more believable, the more plausible it is! The less ammount of suspending our beliefs...the better that work of art (movie, game) will be! Why ? Simple - humans are attuned to our current condition and if something differs too much from it, no ammount of "suspension of disbelief" will make that artistic work good! With that being said... in an as realistic manner as possible ...barring some jaw-dropping tech (like finding/obtaining alien tech like stargates, warp drives etc etc) , space exploration will be **NOTHING** like No Man's Land ...and much, much closer in realism to Star Citizen! ! ! Why ?! Because the odds of finding planets hospitable to human life are tiiiiinyy ! Like "win the lottery 3 months in a row" slim odds! Far more probably, is that out of the many planets we may observe, only a handful - at most - will support human habitation properly ! The rest...well, they will either be frozen hellholes, hot-scorching hells ...! CIG got this part right - Stanton has only a tiny number of actually habitable planets - the main ones - and a lot of inhospitable or barely usable ones (the outposts). On this, StarCitizen has the upper hand - i find it much easier to believe in Star Citizen's version of near future - 1000 years+ - than i do No Man's Land! Also, sadly, No Man's Land childish graphic theme doesnt help it either! StarCitizen is far more mature in looks So no...this is deffinately one case where more does NOT equate to better! Its simply NOT believable to encounter that many human-compatible planets!
No Man's Sky graphics got a little better over the years, as long as you don't meet and "alien" it's not pure Nickelodion any more... but it's still just 6 base planets combining and swapping the same elements between each other forever and ever and ever billions of times which only makes it even more ridiculously boring and repetitive. There's no game out there with endless new stuff. Yes it would be nice if there was. So? What are you comparing things with matters. If anyone tells you there's something better out there, some perfect game -- they're lying, obviously.
@@vmasing1965 Yes, its also very very repetitive. CIG's prority should lie in making their NPC not act zombie-weird and increase interraction with environment. Forget that stupid never-despawn crap!
I have a theory that they will never release this game to completion because that would mean no more game wipes and no more ship sales through real money. Unless they make it extremely difficult to make credits and buy ships in game with them.
It is less important for CIG to actually make a game that’s reliable and that plays well than to “look good” while “trying” to do it, with these professionally directed and paid for documentary style presentations. Total waste of money that should be going into the raw development and not more of their selling the sizzle…
(: 9:04 the subrabaduabtrubaduba technology wich is come from squadron wich is another even more fake never exist game, mann theyre lie so badly its like vomit
defending a settlement from raiders something exiting , but no you can pick fruit and see empty buildings and fields with fruit but no one growing them no npc's no quests, side quests, fun of any kind, they are scared if they let you have fun, you will quit thinking you had your moneys worth hahahahahaha.
Listen, don't waste your time hating on SC. Just uninstall and never look back, and accept the fact that yes, you bought ships that cost hundreds of dollars like an idiot and you will never do that again! CIG doesn't deserve that money for this decade old crap, where even the graphics are now outdated. Just move on from this dumpster fire of a game. Simple and sanity saving.
@UmmerFarooq-wx4yo well certainly not compared to any other "space" game, but the graphics in SC are starting to show their age a bit, IMO. Or maybe I am just used to Stanton. Can't wait to see what Pyro looks like.
Your positive example is No Man's Sky? Billions of star systems? Are you kidding me!? If you have visited 6 different ones, you've seen them all. All the rest is just copy paste the same, mixing up the element from this one with an element from that one. Nothing new, ever. Compared to that Star Citizen is pretty good. Not perfect but show me where's the perfect thing?
Na!! your just hearing what you want to hear, you haven't even seen Pyro are your projecting your negativity......we've know what Pyro would be like for years.
