Star Citizen just keeps surprising me. It has Tanks... Why did I not know this?! I can put the Tanks in Space?!? OK then... Having a great time here with @TwoAngryGamersTV and Will! Leave a LIKE and a comment, thanks for watching.
As an amateur game dev, im completely mind blown every 20 seconds, where something seemingly impossible in gaming has been done. Such as non glichy walking on a moving object without teleporting back and forths. The game not giving a fuck that you grab a box while driving a vehicle. The fact that tanks can be driven into spacecrafts. Like the fully simulated interiors that looks gorgeous of both the tank and the spaceships. This is AWESOME!
@@igvc1876 arcade-like?? wtf. Or do you mean the assist settings that you can freely disable? Theres a lot to criticize but to call the spaceflight arcade-like is really, really weird.
Imagine a game where you can walk into a flyable ship's cargo hold, then walk into a drivable tank that's stored inside, put drinkable beer bottles around the walkways, and have a jolly good time.
Did you even get to the part where they are shooting down spaceships with the tank gun through the open cargo bay doors? If you did how could you not mention that part? lol.
@@kleinbottled79 I didn't get that far, but I'm well aware of what is possible in this game. If I were to enumerate it all, it would read more like a novel. 🙂
@@ynemey1243 No, it doesn't. Looks more like an early precursor to the Matrix simulation. The brain child of one person who once worked for a game development studio with the slogan "We create worlds". Should probably update that to "We create universes" in 2022.
This game looks incredible, but it’s one of those games that due to the immense amount of stuff in the game there’s an inherent learning curve that may scare many casual players
Shooting with a tank from inside a spaceship to destroy another spaceship, ah classic gamer moves, love it. 👌😁 Levelcap doing Space carrier stuff 👀 Jack: Hold my Beer! 😮
A couple patches ago the Org I'm in filled a Hercules (huge cargo bay) with 4 snub fighters. We took some PvE missions (kill spaceships) and used the Hercules as a kind of carrier. I worked great and was a lot of fun...but we didn't mark the location of the Hercules when we left the ship so we could never find it again. lol Won't make that mistake twice.
Rented one during event, fitted in a Tank, hover bike, 2 weaponised buggies and the beginner aurora spaceship haha.. still had space left. still nutty to me that you can load up vehicles within vehicles and fly off, how many layers can we go tho? :p
@@jasonmarcus1683 so dont play, it's in development, so it's constantly changing, and we haven't got all the core tech in yet to make content. What we have now works with what's already in the game, whereas the planned content will start coming into view in about another 12 months
This game was intimidating to learn at first but the community is extremely helpful. Everyone in the chat answered every question i had turning a nightmare of an experience into a great game I play daily
The first minute of this video blew me away. I wish more games were like this to where there is so much detail added into the smallest things. Like being able to park your vehicles inside of your garage on your spaceship. Or opening the door of the tank and being able to walk through it and sit in a seat you’d like to sit in instead of just loading into a seat and it starting up without you clicking anything to start it up. I love that small added realism parts of games. It’s those little things that make the game feel so much bigger and I feel more games need this
Jack you NEED to check out Fleet Week from May 20 - 30. Showcases most of the ships in the game and let's you rent them for free! Would be so much new stuff for you to see :D
For all those who are interested in the game, it is free to play from the 20th of May to the end of the month. The event is called Invictus Launch week (or fleet week), there will be events and hopefully new vehicles to check out. New players for the week will get half a dozen ships to test and fly around as they choose, and there will be a sale in the store.
Not only because the project itself is impressive and super ambitious, but also because it could start a new trend of crowdfunded AAA games, without the need to go to shortsighted and conservative publishers.
@@r.daneel.90 This project is unique and I'd be skeptical about other crowd funded projects. If you want the AAA game industry to clean up their act do it with your wallets and stop buying their games tell they fix their issues. Or wait tell a game is done and check trusted reviews about it before buying it rather then pre ordering it.
This already is one of the most important games in history because it shows other developers how not to manage your dev team. It's been in development for 12 years, has a budget of $400 million, and it's STILL in alpha? This game will never be completed because they can't stop themselves from implementing new features before finishing what's already there. I don't think they're being malicious. They're just in over their heads and have no idea how to manage resources.
Damn Jack, just the fact we are able to watch someone use a spacecraft to catch a tank floating in outer space. This scene was better then a AA movie 😂
The ship 'gravity generator' system is actually kinda genius, because it allows them to get around so many issues other games have (e.g. arma) with trying to put objects with collision meshes, such as other vehicles or people moving around, inside another moving vehicle. It simulationeously addresses that issue, works within the game lore and immersion, and opens up so many gameplay possibilities. I can already see Kraken carriers with the pads adorned with Nova (edit: or ballistae for a missile cruiser) tanks, acting as an improv cruiser.
@@festersmith8352 As soon as the tonk was announced someone photoshopped a bunch of them on the Kraken decks. It's basically a must as soon as the Kraken releases now.
People just don't have common sense. I don't know why you'd look at a tank and go "Yeah I'm going to shoot that right next to my teammates who are doing something." Like, dude. Use your head.
Seeing people start to love Star Citizen after years of doubting is very cool. Not saying the project is done by any means but you can tell the developers care about the game as much as the fans with each update recently
My God, I just watched other Jack's Star Citizen videos today(discovered about this game a couple days ago on RU-vid and absolutely love watching its content) and here he is with a new video! Thank you, Jack!❤
@@sgtsnokeem1139 Lmao you must certainly have quite the interesting life if you can't tell what genuine excitment looks like. PR Corpos don't write like that.
@@xtremetuberVII nope. Public Relations and the Cult are the followers that still think this is coming. One speaks in corporate talk, the other speaks in dream talk
@@brooklynforge4591 the gold stage or something somilar doesnt matter in SC cuz you can actully can play it without any limitations, and every 3 moths they added new gameplay mechanics so why you need a released day to play it? it always will be update to this game so matter what so it will never will be fully ready
@@dickduran There is an obvious difference between a complete, polished game getting more content updates and an alpha being held together with bubblegum and prayer.
@@Xero_Kaiser SC doesnt need full QA right Now It need more core techo , affer that they can spend full human power to fix the Bugs, they fixed always a lot of bug in each Pach but with need Code means new Bugs so its a eternal cyclo but wasting a lot of time bug fixed IS wasting a lot of time without de the main branch , SC just need 2000 devs to be well balance
I got into Star Citizen cause of you Jack and now I'm getting addicted! It's not only fun, but also relaxing at times and even just flying and exploring is amazing in it's own. Keep the videos coming please!
the scene with the tank in space reminded me soo much of interstellar, when they had to match the spin of that space station in order to attach to it.. This was awesome
Such a good video! Thanks for the Star Citizen content, Jack! Keep it coming, because it’s been _such_ good content! Catching that tank floating through space, into the back of the ship was actually freaking sickkkk!
13:50 -- AMAZING!! It's moments like this that -- totally shock me, about Star Citizen. Because of these videos, I recently started playing. I've learned how to make simple package deliveries, which was difficult, but -- I feel like I totally earn each aUEC.
If you ask about Mentors on the global chat you can hook up with other players who will help you learn the ropes while doing missions or flying their ships
Yeah it's insane like that. Basically any time you ask yourself "can I do X?" the answer is "yes." That's what's so amazing about this game even now before everything is fully implemented - the nearly endless possibilities.
@@Highonwater3X I've seen boarding actions on 890 Jumps and Carracks, Klescher prison breaks, ground warfare on Hurston, a kidnapping in GrimHex, dogfights over Jumptown, cross-country racing on Daymar, a hijacked Idris, and capital ship combat. The potential is incredible.
Star Citizen's physics is incredibly janky, but it also has these incredible moments where you can get away with some ridiculous shenanigans, like using your tank as an extra weapons platform from inside your ship (or outside if your ship has a hangar!). I have managed to pick people up while falling in atmosphere, and it makes for some exceedingly tense moments. There is an incredible amount of freedom you get because of the physics grids and how solid vehicles inside other vehicles work. Keep up the series Jack it's a lot fo fun to watch! I also can't wait to see when you lot eventually get crimestats because bounty hunting and punishment gets very interesting!
Imagine this game getting more popular and massive wars break out over planets. Spaceships flying and dropping off people and tanks. A lot of potential in there.
Free to play event may 20th to 31st. Try it out and make sure it runs on your system. Watch a new player guide for the basics, or a guide to the military convention that will be running in game.
Ya try free to play, don’t be like me dude, unless got the time to sink into nonexistent gameplay loops to grind out anything interesting like this need to buck up real $$$ and as entertaining as this is it is hardly indicative of the overall gameplay experience right now. It is rough dude still, like REAL rough, be lucky to log in most days let alone do any of this, and if playing solo? Ha. No. As fun as what their doing is, literally wasting time, nothing in game to use any of this stuff with…its, well, rough lol
@@BRBMrSoul As someone who supports the project and can hardly wait for it to be finished I do agree with much of what you said. There are a lot of needed features before this truly starts to come together. With how it is now there are quite a few people enjoying it which is great. But I need more interesting gameplay loops tell I will feel satisfied. And those wont be able to happen tell both server meshing and AI are working well together. As to playing solo, I play solo when i do log in and dont have many issues. But im pretty casual.
If ever any video in the history of video game RU-vid deserved a thumbs up it was this one. (No spoilers) Glad to hear you sounding better, Jack. Really loving the Star Citizen content.
What it is now is light years better than what it was 6 months ago, they're really starting to bring the various pieces together alongside loads of optimizing
@@danielekirylo for now, every new PU update is rough for the first couple weeks, and every single time they get cleaned up significantly. That's the thing with game development, the project is always changing.
Been watching this game develop since 2016 when No Man's Sky premiered. I literally left gaming on PS4 and built a PC just for when this game is ready. I think it's time
I've honestly had more fun and more "Wow" moments in this game than I have from any AAA game. And most of time, it's even less buggy than the AAA games 😂
@@tommeegunn9318 The latest patch 3.17 brought in a whole bunch of performance optimizations which improved performance in the game. They made significant progress on their transfer to the Gen12 rendering engine. Over the next few patches, they will convert the rest of the game to be rendered through the Gen12 pipeline & then Vulkan will help scale the game's performance better across different specs.
It does have its wow moments but for me there are still too many critical pieces to bring it together that are needed. So im waiting longer to get into it. I occasionally hop on to take a quick look but then shelf it again. Probably wont be tell after SQ42 drops that i'll take it more seriously.
Fucking WILD of a pilot Tommy was with that stunt Jack! Combined with the music, I was getting goosebumps! And then he pulled it off!! Fucking right man!! Legends, all of you! 🙌🏿
I dont know if this is sarcasm or not. Famously it at least used to be the record breaking kickstarter campaign ever. edit: went to wiki: Funding from backers exceeded $300 million in June 2020 and surpassed $400 million in November 2021.
As a long time backer and player. It's nice to see RU-vidrs like Jack enjoying the game!. Last year specifically till date was really a Milestone for SC.
@@ynemey1243 they haven't added this basic feature because whether grass can move or not isn't important at all in a SPACE game they are adding it as an afterthought because they have resources to spare
I actually really like that they put some good items as loot only. Really bring value to the ingame market place when you can’t just pay your way to legendary gear and some of it needs to be found in game making it rare
Something that's subtle and underrated about the changes to loot in 3.17 is that subscriber items have been added to the loot pool. For anyone who doesn't know, there's been an optional sub for years that pays for the community team's budget, including the RU-vid video output, and subbing gets you a little in-game item every month. It's all cosmetics, no free ships or anything, but includes unique helmets, particular cosmetic reskins of fps guns in common circulation in-game, and even plastic toy guns that fire toy darts (dart refills already sold in-game). Now these go in the loot pool as rare spawns, with a 3-month rolling exclusivity window for subs. As a sub for years I think it's great, get these things out there.
This was just epic! Can't wait for the next one and can't wait to see what you will do for Fleet Week coming up and what you think of the Javelin Destroyer.
