Not only should we be past testing concepts, concepts that should work but don't, but we should be testing actual things to do with these new concepts. I've been watching the community laugh and pay money for cool looking concepts that do nothing. Theres no reason to leave your ship on that planet if there was something to do. But everytime they release more cool ships or put development into realistic bed sheets people think its great instead of telling them the game should actually have more content instead of cool things to look at. There's enough cool things to look at for many years now. Not only should they actually work. There should be something to do besides drive around and say oh wow that's cool. But yes it's so funny man. So hilarious they released yet another broken vehicle instead of giving us something to do with existing vehicles. So neat how the community has developers running like hamsters on a wheel for art

One time i flew out the back of my MSR in a Nox, with the intent of flying to the 890 jump mission. I wanted to test if the bad guys would pick me up. I guess I wasn't fully out of Wala's atmosphere and I began to descend. I expected a ka-boom, but instead I landed, bounced a couple times, but no damage. Of course it was 300+ kilometers to the nearest outpost, and I wasn't going to see if I can ride all night to get there.

This game looks absolutely incredible... when it works

If the Dragonfly hover bike hadn't exploded upon leaving the Cutlass, it should be expected to explode when it slams into the surface and if the game bugged and allowed it to merely bounce (as hover vehicles would do years ago if dropped on planets or flown into atmosphere from space) it sure as heck wasn't going hover its way back up to the Cutlass. Hover vehicles only "fly" in space. In atmosphere they're bricks. You'd need to land the ship and drive the hover bike out so it can...hover over the ground. To do what you were trying would require something that can fly like a Merlin or Archimedes snub (not sure if they can squeeze into a cutlass) or any ship launching from another ship that's big enough to carry the snub or ship being launched.

Previous video I saw - dude drops onto the surface of a planet, from space, in a tank. Got dropped out the back of a spaceship in space. And fell the whole way onto the surface of the planet. Meanwhile in starfield you can't even land on a planet without fast travel and loading screens.

Drives a motorbike out the back of an airplane...

Yeah, the Dragonflys dont like hot drops from ramps for some reason. A buddy from my org removed the torpedo racks from the tali for the purpose of doing hot drops. It was definitely successful! The bike may spin a few times in the air but most of the time it's a successful drop. He was the guy who did it with the picos as well! To do the Dragonfly u basically hit the spacebar when underneath, then the pilot closes the door as u kill the engines.

It works if you drive out slowly, just don't go fast or you'll repeat these results, something with the collision of the vehicle with the ship.

You can lower your hover height btw....makes it easier to load and unload that thing

It's because at a point on the ramp the "internal gravity" cease to fonction and the planet gravitiy act. The ship should be advancing. The dragonfly hit the "no gravity" part of the ramp

Why do they keep working on new things and not get the fundamentals of the game working! I bought this game yesterday and had about 20 glitches in the first half hour. Not to mention dying a few times as i would get out of my ships seat and suddenly be 10 miles away in space and my ship is soaring away from me 😅
