I miss the hangars. There was a time when they had these gaming chairs inside an egg pod. When you sat, it loaded a menu where you could play space marine or arena commander. And if you kept loading ships into the hangar, it would open new hangar space to accommodate. This is the original reason why CIG made the PTV (personal transport vehicle) buggy. Hangars would get ridiculously huge.
I remember walking down my rows of ships. I think I had a dozen at one point, before consolidating back before that nasty Warbond bullsh*t became a thing.
At Port Olisar, I miss sitting on the far left corner of pad B-00, looking down at Crusader. ;-) It's a shame there was a security pod floating in the view (looking small).
i remember trying stae citizen from the start where people would fight around beacons, fly penguins or gladius, then port olisar came out and everyone fought around that, game looked chromey as fuck,everything had chrome on it.People would chill in hangars for hours just spawn their brand new andromeda or retaliator

Interesting to see Star Citizen before I became a subscriber. That ship looks wildly different than what we have today. The hangar is cool, and I hope we get them back eventually.
@@jbirdmax okay, I only started playing beginning of this year, the curry red looks good now, but I would love to see the inside of that model. I'm having no luck looking it up myself. They all just show the outside.
I remember having the revel and york hangar it was the only place I could get above 10fps back in the day but that was before 3.0 when A18 was just an instance I used to break out of the map I miss the old setup with the G-loc near the arccorp building and breaking onto the platform behind the trading & commerce building! good times! now I got a Rog strix 4070 Ti OC edition (took me 8 months of saving and budgeting groceries but it was a well worth it didn't fit in the original case with the glass pane on so I had to save for a new one I got myself a deal on a rog hyperion case) I am still running a 5600x but the 4070ti oc is leagues ahead of my old amd 8GB RX580 2048SP that bugger got real hot! instead of running 1080p I now run 4K (when on a decent server) but still drops to 25 on hurston and sometimes 17fps on arccorp! I'm hoping the Multithreaded Vulkan API and DLSS quality will drastically improve my performance enough to make 4k playable in 3.23 that and no more 30k's with the new replication layer fingers crossed! if you got enough aside to save 40-80 I reccomend getting a 40 series if your stuck on anything 10 series or lower or amd equiv! 8 months at £80 should be enough and then look for a 40 series around the 900 mark on offer on amazon I used honey to monitor the prices going up and down to predict when a major price drop would happen I saved around £150 on the pc case! but yeah i remember having a aurora mr starter pack I joined the game in 2.4.1 then around 2.5.X to 2.6 I upgraded to an avenger titan the packages were much cheaper then my aurora mr was only like £25-30 and the titan was around £35-45 (keep in mind titan had a massive design overhaul after 3.0 it had soo many issues back before then) Due to the struggle with the titan glitching me through the floor or ceiling and then me pushing the ship trying to get in would send it into a superspin that gained speed as it went out into space leaving me stranded in EVA having to fly back to olisar or grim hex via EVA (luckily not much to lose back then so in the end decided to backspace) by 2.8 it got unplayable with the being booted out of my ship issue so I decided to upgrade to the freelancer I stayed like that for years then around 2017 ish or later post 3.5 I decided I'd upgrade again to the DUR and it sat like that as the DUR for years I was happy ish with it when I could play 3.18 came and went with my new hardware I was flying more I got rid of that before christmas (temporarily due to it being an upgraded Aurora MR package the insurance was only 3 Months) I was able to melt it cause I bought an IAE syulen due to a bunch of money I got given and well I bought a second as a backup right now I am saving normal money again budgeting my food and drink to get the exploration pack which i'll have by September unless a miracle happens before then, If ya wanna affiliate with my org and join me on my carrack (when I get it) just DM me on Spectrum my handle is ZykenShadow just lemme know I hope to do higher quality yt videos in the near future now I'm capable of AV1 recordings!
