Yeah, the new MFDs look so bad retro-fitted into the old ships, but on the Zeus they look so perfect and natural. The older ships just look odd now in comparison. This is the new RSI explorer for me.
I think it's pretty rad that the co-pilot and gunner are sitting on top of the visible missiles. Good use of glass in this ship. Window couldn't been even larger, but appreciate that we have one.
one cool thing is that each of the three seats in the front can fly the ship. If you are in the gunner seat and flying, when you pull the trigger, it shoots the turret as if it was the pilot controlled guns.
08:24 I'd like to counter with, wait to earn them IN the game. We're going to have another 20 years of ships coming out. All the time NEWER, MORE beautiful, MORE ergonomic, and MORE practical. Don't let FOMO make you feel you need to buy each ship you like, as they make their way to the verse. If you get each ship, you'll end up robbing yourself the ability to feel satisfaction in earning them, or enough to purchase them, in the actual game once released. Plus, you'll keep more coin in your pocket. That's my opinion anyway, and that's after no small investment into the project already. In hindsight, I'd rather still be starting from zero.
Outside is short than C1 Spirit but inside has more space, but i think C1 Spirit is beautiful and fly like a small ship very agile, if Zeus flight like C1 i will upgrade my C1 to Zeus.
Not interested, unless it punches above its weight, and is best in class. Oh...actually...I'm just not interested. I wouldn't throw real money at anything while everything is in a wildly changing state these days. 'All specs are open to change'. Be warned folks.
It's shaped nice and easy to solo. I think for people that want a medium sized ship this will be their new daily drive. It's not going to win any fights though, but for small team cargo quests or bunker quests I think it's a good ship!
@@spamlikesme Yes exactly. Only a true 1-2-person ship between Cutlass and Nomad size would be better for Solo players, which doesn't exist yet. The Zeus will be a bit too much for just a single person, I think. Really weird CIG doesn't have one ship in this category.
You are wearing the Pembroke RSI Ivory Edition suite with a Vanduul Filght Helmet. It would have been more appropriate if you wore the RSI Zeus space suit.
Connie has much bigger guns and much bigger shields and the Taurus much bigger cargo hold. I upgraded to this ship but I bet I will want the Taurus after 1-2 weeks.
The ES, by mission and size, is in competition with the Freelancer DUR. The 600i is also pretty close in cargo, even if it is a bit bigger, with the same mission. The Cutty has a different mission.
Traffic won't be regular in the cockpit, you're either sitting down or not in there at all most of the time. It's even likely you won't regularly have 3 people in that anyway.
@Nemoticon standing up and walking around isnt even the issue. The entire space just looks claustrophobic with 3 chairs empty. I can only imagine how cramped it'll feel with a player in each seat
@@heathmorris6100 I get your point, but the Zeus is a compact medium size ship that makes great use of the space available. It's 10m narrower than the Spirit series and the CL carries twice the cargo than of the C1 as well as having a dedicated living space and 2 additional access points. I think it is a very well thought out design that is well packaged.
I think this ship will live and die on the importance of atmospheric flight in the future, and its best in class scanner for future gameplay. But for now? CL is a more useful ship, even though I love the idea of this ship and it might be the most perfect ship for what I want to do…some day. Sigh. The wait continues, indefinitely it seems.
Most music people add these days is added by people who don't know and don't understand music, so not having time to add "music" is actually good. Besides that you tend to talk pretty soft and mumbling at times. Any background music would soon become foreground music. Also you are allowed to cut out video when it's just you waiting to receive a gateway. No need to record everything in one go. Ship looks interesting, but not for me. Already got my Origin.
Definitely wont be replacing the cutlass black with this lol. The rear end is garbo. Its pretty and will benefit from being "new" but its not as functional.
@@stevenflaton2693 I'm sure it will have a cool factor to it but I just don't have a place in my fleet. I'm waiting to see if they are going to release that small ship with the bespoke gun on it lol.
@@briangueringer3673yeah, I feel that, I know the constellation is one of my fav ships. I guess I’ve been trying to decide on the right “explorer”. I’ve had a carrack, 400i, Corsair and Aquila. Feel they are just too big for solo exploration play. Hoping this fills that void. Until they wipe the ships it’s hard for me really make a decision because I have everything haha 😆
This ship needs more guns to be useful. It's a beautiful ship, no doubt, but I can't justify buying it when so many other ships do what it does, better.
ive been saving money in game to buy this ship once its available in game, i love salvaging in my vulture, its a nice peaceful time and i want one of these for when i "eventually" build a base and need to move and or sell cargo, ranch life is gunna be fun. maybe one day i can have an actual ranch and hire players to care for the animals. edit: i also got the Halloween skin for it already lol
Damn, I was going to hop into PTU to check out the ship but then I remembered I don't currently own it. 😐 And I have to say how awesome the ship looks and sounds, apart from cockpit view and price there will be no reason to choose it over a Connie or 600i and I feel like that's not going to change for many more months until they bother adding proper exploration. I don't understand the copilot MFDs though. Why are they on the outside where they obstruct some of the view instead of the inside where they would only cover the pilot seat?
It is a very sexy ship however unless you snatched it for the original price I don't think it is worth it compared to a constellation. That thing can do anything, ok almost.
Probably a bit overpriced when it goes on sale again in a few weeks, and it can't kill anything. The connie outguns it by a mile. But it's sleeker and more nimble. With gas prices the way they are in the PTU no one can leave dock anyway LOL.
Would get a ES, yet its pretty much a eunuch, much like the Carrack has always been, CL is Ok, although not loving it, its a very bland ship. Its the next step in multi-crew ships, not a solo ship thank god
The Airlock is symbolic in the mess at CIG as it is not an airlock but just a docking collar ... They reused the doors of docking collars with two doors thus creating an airlock ... Worst, this cannot work as a docking collar. There is no extension and the wing would prevent another ship to be paralell ! Finally, the docking collar is round to permit docking in all directions but as this will probably not be possible they have stopped the roof one that exists in many ancient ships that had real free access.
Yeah, weird they made an airlock but there's no decompression chamber. If the fire tech they have would work, there should be decompression every time rear cargo bay doors are opened, otherwise everything you have including people get vented out the moment you open those doors without proper decompression.
@@nikkodyguaso3676 This is not an airlock. They just reused one of the two circular door of an existing docking collar with a decompression chamber. And it is written "airlock" on it. Just that, no more. It is just a round lateral door.
Not a fan of the yellow accents, just like the blue stripes on the 600i. Good thing it's coming with paints right out of the box. And I was skeptical of the canopy but seeing it here I really like it. Perfect balance between view and feeling tucked in.
They could of easily make the ladder entrance a folding stair case, but that's just a little nit pick. I'm just not a fan of animations for basic things like getting in and out of your ship.
