Depends on how a player wants to enjoy the game... I started out buying four LTI starter ships and turned them into a 600i, Redeemer, Retaliator, and Mole to cover everything that I wanted to do...
You couldn't be more wrong. There's a range of ships that can be retrieved in under a minute or for 300-400 credits, Mustang Alpha is a good example - it also has a cargo bay 2x size 2 weapons and 2x size 1.
Thanks for the vid. The ships you chose are certainly good ships. I might add that it depends on how someone wants to play the game. I've had all of these in the past and none of them now.
For beacons/combat i'd prefer an Aegis Gladius/Anvil Arrow(agility), an Ares Inferno(absurd firepower)or an Anvil F7 (this thing equipped with full balistic cannons + ad4b gatling is a beast, I personally prefer 2 size 1 laser canons on the nose for light PVE combat and save the balistic ammo for bigger ships). Managed to take down the Idris with the Inferno and F7 although it took time and some resupply runs to Seraphim.
Started with a mustang alpha, upgraded it fully combat: Fr66 shields, JS300, 2 balistic canons under the wings(not gatlings, gatlings under lvl4 have low ammos) You can actually take high risk contracts with it, Hammerheads can take some time but its doable.
@@salchichondeleon i have also mustang alpha, upgraded shields with one fr66 and other one palisade. It's pretty solid. Interesting idea with balistic canons but you have to be good aiming.
@tic0013 i use the balistics on the wings so i have more shots on the main laser, I only shoot them when im charging the main M2A, that way I maintain dps against ships with big shields, so they don't recharge them. Ballistics have a nice alpha dmg/max dmg, against smaller shields I take down their shield with the laser and finish with balistics. I don't like only lasers
Well i have the M2, and when armour comes into game it'll have a nice edge along with them 2x shields. Agree though, the Hercules are excellent all rounders, its my daily driver and is very agile for a large ship, coupled with the attention to detail, components, cargo area...etc, makes for one hell of a ship. Also for what you get, its great value in game . I see we have a luv for the Meridian Paint, really compliments the Herc?. PS: i had someone taunting me in my M2 while i was on a landing pad , in their C1, jousting me......lets say as he bounced off the M2', he ceased to exist. Kudos
That bridge tunnel is *BRUTAL* though. Eventually they'll have armor racks if they follow concept, but until that happens, it's a bunch of useless doors. That puts a lot of people off
Almost, but not quite. Replace Cutlass Black with C1, Connie is good, I tend to lean toward favoriting the Andromeda but with current patch Taurus is sooooo nice with that tractor beam placement, and finally replace the C1 with the M1. Its hard to see the benefits now, but there are some like its amazing Armory which lets you store multiple shoulder mounted weapons such as railguns. In the future it we become apparent that the increased hp, armor class, and defensability it will be superior for environments such as Pyro for both environmental and combat purposes while making minimal sacrifice in terms of carry capacity.
@@gemreviews2840 fair, wont be long before it is sold in game though. For the sake of not immediately "date"ing videos i would suggest (as a laymen watcher who would enjoy such a thing) using all flyable ships as valid for the sake of videos and just make sure to mention that it is not yet available to buy ingame as of the time of the video. Personally i think that helps validate the opinions being shared, because otherwise, especially without strictly defining you are only considering ships that are purchasable in game at this very moment at the start of the vid. I felt it was framed as "upgrades from starters" and despite you refferencing how much they cost in game and what order youd save aeuc for them, that topic feels, to me as a viewer, like it is also applicable as a buyers guide for CCU purchase recomendations.
@@harbringerf9416 the Zeus aint even outta greybox yet, hold your horses. The C1 has plenty over the Cutlass Black, even if it is still not ballanced where it should be. To my mind it should have the same disproportianately superb manuevering and speed as its predecessora the C2 and MSR, and should out roll the Cutlass by a mile. Once they fix those issues, its suoerior armor will make the Cutlass look like its made of paper like with most Drake hulls, and the livability/personal survivability in prep for death of a spaceman is leagues better in the C1 than Cutlass. I do agree though, the Zeus is likely to take the cake when it releases if it is as good as it looks.
@ParagonFangXen a very long way of saying the Zeus is just better ;) . The only real reason imho to have a c1 is blockade running it accelerates so fast. But it's over big. A MSR in the same footprint carries 114 scu . While yes a catterpiller should never match a c2 I think the difference should be less at the bottom end.
