My first pledge back in the day was a 315p. It’s been a while since then but I imagine it will remain a good ship throughout. Very curious about how the tractor beam will be implemented. I look forward to the day things don’t clip throw those lift bays. For now good luck manually placing a box in the cargo slot.

315p was the first ship I got, upgraded my starter pack to it before I even finished downloading the game. Haven't looked back since and she's still in my fleet with all stealthy components

I wish they would make a 315p version with passenger seats instead of the living quarter... thus becoming a luxury "jet" for passenger and cargo and would be way more appropriate for the 890 as a shuttle to bring in guesses with their belongings, for a cruise; because right now the 85x isn't a shuttle as the pisces is..

I really like the 315p. The fuel capacity is really nice and I'm thinking they might be up to something with that utility on the nose.

I started with an Avenger Titan a few months ago but bought a 315p in game on a lark and I absolutely love it. I'm thinking of upgrading my starter ship to the 315p but hesitate b/c I don't think you can put a 1 SCU storage tote in the drop down storage bay. I use that size tote for bunker missions.

I cannot fault your video on the 315p, as I had it for a long time for the reasons you state - tractor beam, increased cargo, expanded quantum fuel plus all the 300 series amenities. And the stealth components. Great ship except a pain to get inside with the 🪜. But last IAE, I traded it in for the Nomad and never looked back. Tractor beam, double the cargo of the 315p, increased QT (only 771), good amenities (not Origin luxury but it's a pick up truck), and I like that it has an airlock separating the living area from the outside for the future. And the cockpit viewing area, though obstructed, gives vision in all directions. It's more expensive but I liked it better. Ship preference is so subjective, it's not all about the numbers. You cannot go wrong if combat isn't your thing with the 315p. And tractor beams are coming - the sneak peek in a recent newsletter has the 315p and its removed tractor beam as a focus.

I think you missed the intention of this ship. The biggest difference between the 315 and other 300's is that it comes stock with stealth components. This is the premier smuggling ship. Though it can be improved with class A components, it is quite capable with the stock loadout. If you want to max it for smuggling, equip 2 Mantis, 1 FR66, 1 Suldrath, 1 Slipstream, 2 Ultraflow, and an Atlas for time optimization. Fly with everything off but the Slipstream and Ultraflows, and turn everything on with a single command word when in combat. However, the optimization doesn't make that much difference to the range needed to spot you so it can indeed be flown right out of the box for smuggling.

Big fan of the 300 series! I have the 315P & 325A, both provide an incredible ride/experience. I also ran Obsidian haha! Though I slapped Ultramarine on my 325, just to differentiate lol. As someone who loves to have black vehicles, this was a difficult decision haha, might even go back for Sterling

I bought the Aurora, and then the Titan, then I found out about the 315p. I bought it not realizing how much I would love it, the styling on the inside, fun to lay down during a long warp across the galaxy, the storage, etc. It is great also because it is small and easy to park when you want to get close to bunkers. Only complaint is its pretty fragile, but the other pluses make up for it. I would skip the Titan if they wipe and go right for the 315p this time.

Since I already have a cutlass on my account I don’t have a use for this particular ship. However, it’s a very pretty little ship that I wouldn’t mind just flying around in while going sightseeing.

beautiful ship but if you want to put boxes is very difficult , they moving around. I Titan you just put inside and done

I may just be too bad at ship combat, but even the 325a feels bad in combat. It's super nice until you get hit once or twice, then part of your wing is gone and usually that means spin of death.

it is one of the best in its price range but it's about what you value. You can run more but your less protected. If you value is the Cargo amount for the size, then consider the Consolidated Outland Nomad for double the cargo at a minor 15$ price increase [or about 60k more AUEC if you're buying in game]. Same size, 3 guns instead of 2, 3 Shield generators instead of 2, 3x the Hydrogen fuel, and nearly the same quantum fuel. Or if you're really only want cargo you could pledge for the not yet in game Hull A with near 50 SCU. Same Price as the Nomad same size as both the Nomad and the 315. It's about what you value.

I agree about upgrading a 300i as I'm surprised that anybody uses one at all. 325a or 315p are both better choices, just for different reasons.

I melted my 315P for a 325a because the 325a will still hold 3 boxes and it has more firepower for just in case

315p is a good mercenary ship for bunkers and ground. Assuming you have a way to get the goods out of the bunker after the mission is done.

Tbf just about every ship is invisible outside of scanner range except the gladius cause of its bright star level engine.

It’s a nice little smuggler ship. I personally would prefer the 325A.

This ship is a complete waste of time for cargo hauling. Just do bounties instead, even without a nose gun you would make money faster lol. If you want to be efficient use 100i for courier missions and thats about it and put the rest of your credits elsewhere. Or just use 325 for both. As for cargo hauling, anything below 200 scu is pretty much a waste of time and has always been this far in the alpha. Go big or go home. Maybe a freelancer max could be a starting point but thats like a C tier for cargo hauling if were being generous. Theres just better ways to make money than hauling less than 100 scu its a joke.

Hi Spartan, 10 yrs ago I pledged for SC with the 315P package. Now I recently checked out the state of the game and decided it's worth a try. I went into my SC account on the website the first time after many years. I can see the 315P in my hangar, but I can't DL the game, because it says I dont have a game package. Back in the day, as faras I remember all pledges above 45$ meant, the game will be playable and the 315P was at 55$. Any idea what to do here? I dont want to spent another now 57 bucks for a starter package. That would suck balls.

Can you carry boxes un the cargo hold? Could I use it to do box missions with the boxes in the drop down cargo area?

I got a question, how do you get this many boxes moved between station and ship? Doesn't it take forever to walk each of them to the ship and back? Can't people access your interior via the cargo lift?

To be fair, ANY variant of the 300 series is better than the base model 300i. The 300i is for n00bs who don’t know what they want to do in the PU so they want a jack-of-all-trades ship to try things out. I like the 315p… but I already own better ships for exploration, hauling, and touring, so I don’t own one. I like the updated 315p with its ventral cargo bay. It’s great that CIG made the design choice for luxury ship-maker Origin to sequester the cargo from the cockpit/cabin and hide it the belly of the ship. It also like the obsidian paint job - I always choose dark paint jobs because they’re harder to see in space. IMO the main feature of the 315p is the tractor beam, but since it’s currently not operational, I can’t justify owning a 315p. Once the tractor beam works and CIG introduces Exploration and Salvaging gameplay, the 315p will be a great ship choice.
