LIST OF CORRECTIONS In the video I say it has 2 size 2 shields. I only wish that was the case. It has 2 size 1 shields. 325a is now an A tier PvP ship and the rest are slightly worse for various reasons. A lot of skill is required however.
I briefly flew the 325a today and perhaps it was just dumb luck, but for the first time since I joined in 3.17.1 I didn't have to fight the ship. It didn't try to roll, it didn't drift, it didn't try to automatically move its nose away from where I was pointing it. It was smooth, responsive, and was slick to fly. Hopefully this wasn't a fluke because I have always wanted to love these ships, they just wouldn't let me, but man that felt SO good to fly.
Hmm, that's weird 🤔 Did you check if you were by mistake in "decoupled" mode when the ship was drifting? I had this short of drifting/rolling, and I found I had activated it by mistake. 😅
Nice video, thank you. They have multiple years of technical debt with these ships. More than 90% of the ships need some level of rework, from minor to complete overhauls.
I finally caught up with this video. Needed time so took me a while. I like the concept that you're are covering all the variants of the ship in one go. So i have not had any of the 300 series ships so far. The only origin ships i've had are the 100i and the M50 and i dig those two. This is a great series Red. Your casual way of talking is quite appealing to me.

@@Reds_Resort It’s a great format to work with. I can also see it split in 4 parts but I do see the potential of long form video as well. Streams are weirdly fun on a very different level. They are done and dusted as soon as you finish so all the production value has to come live. I’m also planning on converting Aurora MR videos to livestreams. It’s too restricted in machinima format. Bring a guest, talk to them as much as I want and we jump into the game live to do laps. Your support is valuable man. Legend. I will bring your VO character in one of my future videos for sure.
Haven't played this in years, Streamed the Hanger module on the first day, My first bundle was one of the old Digital Bounty hunter with the 300 series, Upgraded to A sabre, Your video made me want another 300 and I had loads of LTI buy backs and a bit of store credit, so I got a 325 and I am back with the Ship I started with after all these years.
Thanks, the 300i was the very first ship I purchased out of pocket to get into the game back in August 2014. I still have it (Upgrades asisde) and will never part with it. Thanks for the great, in-depth video.
Great review of all the 300 series. Personally I keep a 315P in my hangar at all times, with the metallic blue. Next time they go on sale I may pick up a 350R as well, likely more interesting in 3.23.
Thanks Jim. Yeah I had a great time with the P. I also could be persuaded to spend alot more time with the R. Not gonna lie that time time at the track left an impression. It was hard but that's what I liked about it.
I used to love the 350r’s top speed as it was a fast and safe way to reaves around. But with MM I ask what’s the point of these fast ships when considering safety? Sad really.
I really hope that eventually they just make all their money through customizing your ship doing sort of things like adding a coffee maker to it that might be convenient in game but not make or break
I agree, 300i is the prettiest ship in game and was my original pledge in 2013. There were no custom options and when they added those in, you didn't get any of them. Such a shame it's not very useful ;_;

i have owned a fully upgraded 325a for a couple years (go blue skin). Here is my experience. The speed of the 300 series is wonderful. Turning is mid to good. However the weak spot is the back wings. Either ballistics or losing your shields will cause you to lose the wings plus your size 3 gun. The quantum fuel level is horrible and you need a slow drive. I love the interior however I see the 300 series now as only having one winner. The 315p would be a great ship to rip around in. Lots of quantum. Plus I can see this helping load and unload ships. Plus the food, coffee and speakers would help more with the long 315p trips you could make. Here is my ideas for starting packs. The Avenger Titan or the 315p if you dont want to fight. The 315p will get you out of any situation quickly, great for people who hate PvP

Which is weird given how put off I was by the interior red. Maybe I'm just getting to that midlife crisis stage. 🤣🤣
@@Reds_Resort I find myself going for other fighters in my hanger like my F7A mark 2. I've been interested in the speaker set up for a while haha. i hope its worth all the money. I also upgraded the weapons fully so I know I always have a quick ship with a short claim time each patch. I love the look and the back thrusters are also amazing
Wow, what a video! You've done your homework concerning the lore and very detailed information/tour of the ships in a very well put together video! That must have taken some time and effort! ....buuuuuut on 12:15 you tell us the ships have 2 size 2 shields.. I'm pretty sure its 2 size 1 shields. Please PLEAAAASE let me be wrong, that would be awesome!! But I fear your tounge might have slipped there, or I'm hearing it wrong (also very possible). This was my daily flier for some time until the 135C, wich is cheaper, has great fuel scoops, can carry some stuff and can be spawned on small vehicle platforms. But the 300i just doesn't let go. AND you can customize it. so now I've got the 315p as a smuggler. I also fell in love with the blue metallic paint, got all the extras but left the wood paneling. The glass roof is the reason I wanted the same for my car and it was decided then, that my next car must have a glass roof or at least a big sunroof. So I got the Kamiq Monte Carlo. So really, the game cost me loads more and I think Chris Roberts owes me the Preatorian status or at least access to the VIP lounge.. There's two thing I don't like about the 300i, though. That stupid ladder! Nothing screams luxury like climbing engine room ladder! The second thing is fighting. It's not agile at all, compared to most smaller ships and it bothers me. It was described as an Interceptor, wich means very fast to get to target but not very maneuverable, wich makes sense for this ship. But the looks... oh man is she pretty... never going to give my 315p away! o7 Dude!

Would honestly be cool if they ditched the variants and added the options to the customization menu instead. Would be cool to mix and match things like the extra missiles/cargo and weapon slot sizes.
My only problem this series is its very sensitive to wing breaks. This makes it quite a bear to limp back home and repair. If CIG can strengthen this a bit. I may give this a series look. In particular the P variant. Cheers and thanks Red. .~Mike
@Reds_Resort Oh in just if it is still a thing. I got it back before they ended lifetime insurance. I've got to wonder what all exists on my ship, and if the holographic paint package I got with it will ever become a thing.
It does! July 4th, 2013 lol.... and I was mistaken it was the "electro-skin" hull. It supposedly allowed for swapping skins on the fly. Given it's over 10 years ago, I wonder if it'll still be a thing given what I saw in your video.
@@EvaOwnsAll awww yeah I've read about that. Sounds too good to be true now doesn't it. Yeah I was asking because I have the Arbiter as well. Picked it up not long ago because it contained S42. Wanted to make sure it was in the hangar before Chris put the price up.
