Work has slowed down significantly on the project thanks to the janky emulation mucking up some of my textures. (primarily the landmaster.) I hope citra starts looking into the issues again, or mikage releases with a better shader system that gets rid of the problems that citra has. I think the future of 3DS emulation is bright, it's just a matter of time.
@@MaddiAddiGaming I kinda have a crappy pc for graphics so by the time I have a better one hopefully I’ll be able to test it out on some new new graphics 😎
@@akumati86 Never actually made a post like that, and I'm a girl :) But it *did* put a wrench in my plans for sure since Citra was pretty much the only usable 3DS emulator. By the time another team gets a working emulator released we'll probably have a proper PC port of the N64 original which will be much easier to run and mod just by the nature of it being a proper PC port. The decompilation is currently at 99.7%, and I think we'll be seeing more progress soon!
IMO there's still a lot of problems (most of them on the emulator's side) but I'm glad you like the direction it's headed. I'll do my best to have some more updates soon, but the burnout is real. (as is the frustration with the lack of fixes on the emulator side.)
The models are only visible for a very small percentage of gameplay. If I had my way I would be changing the models as well, but as with everything SF 64 3D, the file system is more complicated than the average 3DS title. if you feel that strongly, the mugshot textures will be in a seperate folder in the pack easily deleted by anyone who wants to replace them.
This was an issue that carries over from the original uncompressed audio mod. For some reason when Sebastian was porting over the voices the conversion software tuned a lot of files to the left and lowered the volume on others. Unfortunately with there being hundreds of voice files in the game it's more than a little tedious to go back and re-convert every single one of them,
that is f***ng beautiful How can I have this experience too? All I have is project64 and the original ROM is there any link to download this emulator and file to just play it too, or there is a lot of adjustments, downloads and plenty of other technical things that only 'designers' can go thru with ease?
Work on the project has stalled due to issues with the citra 3DS emulator. For legal reasons I can't post any direct links to a rom for Star Fox 64 3D or the emulator but one could easily find them with a google search. Enhancements to the textures and music will continue to be unavailable until a lot of issues are fixed.
Say mate, how did you manage to put the bottom screen HUD into the main screen? By far the best feature in this entire project (so good I'd be dying to have it as a standalone mod)!
I hate to disappoint, but the hud at the bottom is just clever video editing for clarity on youtube. I used clever positioning of capture elements in OBS. Since I have multiple monitors, I just stretched the Citra window so I could capture both screens in High definition. From there, I cropped different parts of the bottom screen and overlayed them on top of the main screen. I do wish I had the capabilities to turn that into a proper feature, but my skills are limited solely to texture work. Unfortunately code isn't something I'm very strong with. I had hoped that I could find out who had done the majora's mask and OOT hud edits and ask them if it would be possible to do something like that for SF64, but there's been no such luck.
If you're looking for a song for Area 6, since it wasn't in either Assault or Zero, maybe you could ask the person that made this version. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tijoqczpQPI.html
Unfortunately it's stalled out. There's several problems with the citra emulator that have prevented me from working on it. The landmaster's textures are loading in improperly even though they're formatted correctly, the issues with Solar and Aquas are still not fixed, and recently the citra team gutted modded texture support for the bleeding edge canary builds while they re-work the system. Hopefully things improve soon, but I'm not holding my breath.
@@MaddiAddiGaming that's sad news :/, welp i guess this will take so long huh, well, your work is very appreciated, as a star fox fan, i salute you for the hard work.
@@MaddiAddiGamingsorry for asking, but is Solar, Aquas and Andross impossible for you yourself to try and solve it? I don't think they'll ever try to solve it if it still hasn't been solved
@@leonardodelimaferreira8509 Unfortunately I don't do code. Code is the reason I flunked out of university, and that was only Java and PHP. I wouldn't stand a chance when it comes to c# or c++ (can't remember which language Citra is written in.) I'm just an artist that uses pre-existing tools to do my job. And if the tools I need aren't available? Well I just bang rocks together for months until someone makes 'em for me.
I did originally, but it didn't really fit the game all that well with the pacing and instrumentation. Honestly I'm still not satisfied even with this live orchestral performance.
