This is my favorite level. I mean, a lot of SF64 fan service. Four bosses from that game make an appearance here: - The one from the asteroid belt - The pirate from Zoness - The "COCKY LITTLE FREAKS!!!" from Sector Y - The red guy from Area 6 And not to mention Bill, Katt, and Star Wolf, of course.
+omegaevolution Interesting thing, since you still have control of your ship during the cutscene of the shield going down you can get out of the ship sooner before they count down the cannon firing. Plus if you do that Pepper will say something along the lines of "Eff the countdown, fire the cannon now!"
If the controls weren't so bad, thanks to Miyamoto forcing the game to use the Wii U's stupid gamepad gimmick, Zero looks like the perfect sequel to Star Fox 64.
Peppy getting shot down seems avoidable, like Slippy getting taken down in 64. If you kill Wolf quickly enough, do you skip Titania and go a different route, like in 64? Or is Zero more linear?
I suspected that big time. Taking down the spyborg before it could knock slippy towards Titania; that means taking out wolf before he shoots peppy! But unlike the 64 game, if peppy is shot down, you can't continue to defeat wolf...
Oh no… Oh hell no… Not him too… He’s not going to enjoy this… (Sorry if I sound worried, I just already understood what’s going to happen in the next reboot… It’ll be his turn.)
Reunited with a friend? More like reunited with the circus gang! Seriously, look at this: Bill and the Cornerian Army? ✅ General Pepper helping us? ☑ Screaming bosses from Star Fox 64? ✅ Katt passing by to say a little hello? ☑ Leon, Pigma and Andrew? ✅ Falco, Peppy and Slippy helping us? ☑ Wolf? ✅ Two endings? ☑ (I feel a bit bad for Peppy, though.)
