I wish they did xenogears

This will be my first star ocean game to play!

I REALLY hope Star Ocean Second Evolution will get the PS4 treatment, it's my favorite game in the series!

Love the old school feel too it reminds me of second evolution

It's a 3d diorama environment with 2d sprite. It was the old octopath traveller.

Great review. I might buy this for the nintendo switch lite too. I also really like the old school style of star ocean:first departure r too since it reminds me of pokemon blue for the gameboy color.

It’s really a shame square enix can’t put these out physically in some way. There’s so many good games and if a game is just digital I’m going to wait for a sale.

what's the anime clip used behind the Conclusion title? looks interesting (reminds me of Gun/Diebuster), or is a cutscene from the game?

Do all characters level up together or do you need to rotate them so everyone stays same level?

never played the game. I would love to dive in, but I need a physical copy.

Been wanting to playthrough this for years, finally the switch (like usual) is providing that opportunity

Give me a physical copy and I'll buy it immediately. I'm not going to buy it off the eShop and then have it come out 3, 6...12 months later physical.

I want to play it but I hate to be in the menus too much and doing dumb stuff I like a more straight forward story

So far I'm really enjoying this entry in the series, I've played Till the end of Time, and The Last Hope, and am also playing the newest one The Divine Force, however I'm liking First Departure R a LOT more than Divine Force. Idk Divine Force the characters movements are WAY too erratic and the mouth movement is just awful looking and robotic with both the Japanese Voice and English Voice. First Departure R really takes me back to the good old PS1 era of JRPGs with games like Suikoden 1&2, Legend of Dragoon, Wild Arms and the like. Heard Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness is the worst out of all the Star Ocean games

I played Star Ocean 2, it wasn't bad at all but I couldn't get into it. Can I get into this game?

This sounds great. I know what to get next time I'm given an e-shop card.

I think it's lousy compared to it's japanese super famicom counterpart, especially with the visuals.

I'll wait to see if it comes to pc like some of the others.

Looks amazing, but until they release a physical copy it is just a fun game I will probably never play. I do however thank you guys and gal's for spotlighting it on your channel so the gamer's who do not mind or truly embrace digital can buy it download it and enjoy it :)

I really dislike how they didn't update the sprites to reflect the updated character arts. Having them change mid game really rips me out of the immersion.

this game would be so much better as a turn based rpg

Your review was more detail then the others out there who focus way too much on combat rather on every detail there lazy revivers.

And all the casts are underrage...again...
