because if people spread word about Dio stop time ability they will be executed thats why Darby was so scared to tell Jotaro meanwhile Jotaro dont even give a fuck if people know his ability
English subtitles are so boring. In contrast, Korean subtitles are very high quality. JoJo Part 4 Korean subtitle video link ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DVRJWH0H1YQ.html
I always figured that “breath” during the Vs. Kira time stop was to show him making the conscious choice to “push” The World further, a thing he hadn’t done since Dio, due to the fury he felt thinking about how his friends had suffered from Kira; essentially I always thought the Kira stop was maybe 4 seconds.
At the start of Part 4, Jotaro mentions he hasn't used his time stop in over 10 years, leading to it only lasting half a second During the Bug-Eaten fight he trains it to around one second When they encounter Sheer Heart attack, it's around 2-4 seconds In the final encounter with Kira, it has been trained to its full limit of 5 seconds Jotaro is not under any circumstance able to surpass this limit of 5 seconds, Dio was only able to because of his vampiric nature
@@scavvyboi1657when was it confirmed in part 4 that his time stop increased over 2 seconds? It didn’t increase back to 5 seconds until the part 6 final fight iirc
@@Nonikt Dio, being a vampire, can just recover his injuries extremely quickly anyway. This odd thing is, old vampire stories don't talk about poisoning a vampire. They're always vulnerable specifically to sunlight, or water, or even grains of rice, but never poison. You'd think that because they're undead, most poisons wouldn't affect them anyway, perhaps except for poisons that target the brain directly; or, that their immunity would come from their unnatural state - same reason they have super strength, wallwalking, transformations, and so forth. But it's never addressed, even when stuff like only being susceptible to rushing water or holy water is made into a big point.
@@hostiusasinhostilityhostil7853 Pretty much, but vampires here are not really considered dead entirely. I would assume it is the same as fire. If the poison is faster than a vmapire can regeneratethe damage, then they either die or have to desintegrate and flee. If not, then they are fine.
I feel stupid for just realizing now, but Jotaro not only used The World's skill, he also took the name as the skill. It's as if he reduced Dio's stand to a mere skill name.
Jotaro uses speed as light jump Jotaro has go to another dimension Jotaro uses speed as light jump again Jotaro has go back to his dimension Jotaro times stop has finished
When you realize that talking Isn’t affected by Time stop Meaning you can talk forever. But, when Star Platinum and The World Both yell Their stand cry time isn’t affected, Big brain.
I’ve got a feeling that it is incredibly hard to tell time while it’s stopped. Maybe ones perception of time is based solely on personal recognition of it while said time is stopped. It would explain why Dio was able to measure time when he THOUGHT about it, but sort of just kept doing his own thing for much longer than a mere five seconds. Basically; it’s completely based on one’s will to recognize time. It’s the best way I can think of to explain the spotty length of time being stopped.
He probably perceives time as a regular person would. But since there is a lot of internal dialog, it makes the timestop seem way longer. -thats common sense tho, anime time is different then real time
or maybe the enhanced perception of time that users with extremely fast stands have, an user with a somewhat slow stand would probably notice the mere 5 seconds i think
@@black_rhino241 Him being able to move as fast as the speed of time doesn't relate anything to time stop. Dio and jotaro didn't moved so fast they make it seem they stopped time. They simply just stopped the flow of time. The speed of light is just like an extra stats which makes them more powerful
@@left6466 them being about to hit at the speed of light allowed them to surpass time my guess is that jotaro never hit anyone fast or hard enough to know he could do it because star platinum not holding back could blow holes through people and fling them the only person to get that treatment is DIO during that battle
@@black_rhino241 Your statement about jotaro holding back throughout part 3 until he meet dio is correct but again. They just completely stopped time. This doesn't have any relation to speed. They simply stopped time. It isn't hard to understand.
@@theotofte888 not necessarily. It could be that Dio being vampire gives him edge in improving skill. Vampires don't age - so he could only get better . Jotaro seems to actually lose seconds with time passing - once he gets older.
@@theotofte888 The issue is that stopping time strains the body. Dio was able to push The World so far because his Vampiric regeneration let him ignore that.
Most people agree that Part 4 Was Jotaro’s peak Jotaro’s stand barely got weaker still being able to deal massive blows, Jotaro himself got smarter and more quick witted, The Two Second time stop makes sense since he never used TS again until Part 4 and with a quicker TS it takes less out of Jotaro and better for quicker events like SHA for example
And as jotaro mental health got more worse (since he got ptsd from part 3),his stand also getting weaker, but even tho that happend star platinum is still dangerous stand
Star platinum was the strongest when it faught Dio. I mean Jotaro pulls his punches with everyone even then he was mopping the floor with kira, could've high diffed Pucci if Jolyne wasn't around and distroyed The world, star platinum was without a doubt was at its peak physically in pt3 but Jotaro was mentally more prepared in pt4.
@@t65bx25 Sure but that was when he was a child, Jotaro is smarter in Part 4 he knows not to rage out like how he did in Part 3, sure he may be faster (debate-able) and stronger but Jotaro overall got stronger
The Ultimate Nugget Nagi yeah i really have to wait since i really like the animation style tho. Never imagined it to be this good when i watched like first two episodes with jonathan😂😂😂
@@zoxhoi because you say so? To the opinion of someone else this comment is cringy, after one year when you will try to sleep you will cringe with the thought of this comment
@@realmt1477 Dark Blue Moon, my dood, you can use your Stand to project your voice and ITS lips will move instead of yours. Like ventriloquism but with punchghosts.
It's still 2. Jotaro stopped time for half a second against Josuke only because he did not use it in a decade, in the final of part 4 he still stopped time for 2 seconds. In part 6 though, he did practice his timestop until it reached 5 seconds, after which Star Platinum became the first stand in history of Jojo to get a "completed" rating for development potential.
Jotaro stops time for *5* seconds but prepares to have a 5 minute conversation with dio on the road roller wtf EDIT: I edited it to 5 instead of 2 happy now toddlers
You know, I have a theory that the reason why '5 seconds' seem to last longer is because of Dio/Jotaro enhanced perception due to their stand high speed If the user had a stand with normal speed/perception they wouldn't be able to do much with it, as simply thinking would quickly waste their time
There is also that even when his two seconds in Dios time stop was up he could still think freely. Maybe they can actually stop time for quite long, but only move for their set amount of time during it
Technically if EOH becomes canon (which I highly doubt as of now cause part 6-8 needs to be animated first) jotaro and a lot of people could live again ......
i mean; with all the crazy stuff that'd happened to Hayato in such a short span of time, i doubt he was really questioning the specifics of the ability and probably thinking something more like "heck yeah, whatever that guy did worked!".
Well, in part 6 star platinum's stand catch It is said that time stopped seconds roughly are equivalent to normal seconds, meaning that if for normal people are 5 seconds, for jotaro they are 10-15 seconds, that would explains why they have so much time for chit-chatting
And now remember, there was a time that dio could stop time for 10 seconds, damn. And i wonder how much would Jotaro be able to if he actually wanted to get stronger in these years after stardust crusaders.
Iirc he can't stop more than 5 seconds physically because he is a human and his body spots functioning after 5 seconds, all of the heart stuff and all explained in part 6 I think And you know what dio can stop time for unlimited duration being a vampire and all
Hear me out. What if the "stopped time" world works like Accel World? It brings you into a world of your speed of thought, where each second feels like 1000 seconds. Time only "moves" when you actually move your body, and you only feel the physical strain when you move (because you'd be moving faster than light, by physics). As long as you only "think", you can think for as long as you can because the mind is much faster than the body and it can still sense in stopped time. That's why every time Dio or Jotaro moves, they physically voice out "1 second has passed" from their mind to show that that's their body's limit of movement within stopped time. (for example, 2meters per second)
A bit late, but I always thought the same. I think it's not like they activate a world that stops time for exactly 5 seconds and you can do whatever during that period of time until time flows again, but 5 seconds is how much they can keep moving during a time stop without straining their bodies. Jotaro used the analogy of holding your breath underwater; you can pass your limit, but your body will automatically feel that. And the more they dive, the more time goes down.
I think that the fact that "kills" the sensation of logic is that what the characters are actually saying should be what they actually think. Even us can think a Lot of things in no time, but the Drama seems a yes or yes requirement un the series XD
I have a teory: when the world is activated people and objects don't move, but the actual time does not freeze, it slows down. So if you can stop time for 5 seconds you will be able to use the world for 50 seconds, in jotaro's case he can use the world for 2 seconds so it's 20 seconds. Or maybe I should just go to sleep....
I think It's more like you could stop time and think about what you're gonna do for lets say a minute at most and star platinum can do whatever it want with 5 seconds of his fastest punches because I think jotaro says something similar in stone ocean "I can stop time for 5 seconds but its not really accurately 5 seconds"
Well its because of the manga. if you read the manga you can understand it because there is no time in the manga. but if its transported into anime. You have time in place so everything looks exagerrated
Jotaro vs Josuke was also cool. Even though it happened for like 1 minute in the episode, it was also funny because the fight happened because Josuke got mad because he thought his hair was getting made fun of. And then Jotaro said, "Get mad and youll get beat the hell out of again." 😂
@@psiness7341 I think he meant that Jotaro didn't try to increase his timestop, rather because of lack of practice it decreased. Although I do think this makes sense tho, because it's the very ability that killed his friends, and besides he doesn't need to use his Stand for his job.
