Roddy vs Orange was a beatdown. I enjoyed Roddy's NXT run with the North American Championship, so I already knew Roddy would make a killer mid-card title holder. Plus, with AEW's roster as big as it is, I was concerned he would never get a single's title run.

Hangman should have made a faint middle finger to Swerve and a sly grin before grimacing and tapping . But in subtle way . And I mean hardly noticeable , just vaguely enough to where he was still selling the choke more than the gesture , but enough so it registered .

I also gave the ospreay match 4.75

I actually can accept the lack of drama in the Ospreay match. Because they subverted my expectations by actually having Ospreay and Takeshita gain mutual respect and have the callis family come out stronger.

Will vs Takeshita is one of the best matches ever and I mean ever and neither is above 5 stars, woeful

Strong vs Orange: I really loved this one. Strong delaying fighting OC by a month really halted the Undisputed Kingdoms momentum right at the start and basically killed all interest as no one was doing anything and Wardlow felt separate with how little he'd be with them. But it kinda worked to the story here(if unintentionally but still) OC has been having intense matches every week that have made him, one of the better champions in AEW history. But it wore him out. This was full health Roddy picking at the scraps of whats left of OC and he easily tore him apart for the win. It didn't bury OC at all. It just showed that he's put in so much work for the title but physically couldn't keep going because of it, no matter how much will he had to. I loved it so much. AND THEN KYLE CAME BACK. YEEEAAAHHHH Probably 4.75/5 for me if not a straight up 5/5

MINUS 5 STARS !!!!!! Naw I'm kidding , If AEW does one thing great it is that almost always their PPVs are pretty dang good . I have seen every one of them and rarely was I disappointed completely by one . I still have to watch this one again though as I had to babysit my niece and nephew so I didn't get to enjoy it like I normally would . But I still dug what I saw , which was most of it . I just couldn't focus on every second . But such is life , I love them kids !!!

I would give the Ospreay/Takeshita match 5 stars but I have two problems. First is I’m just not a fan of anyone using the Tiger Driver 91 these days because it just doesn’t seem worth it. I personally don’t like how he’s somewhat overused the Storm Driver 93 in some of his matches but it would have been more appropriate here. If he were to use it in a match with more weight, like a world title match or a rematch with Omega, or someone with a bigger name than Takeshita like Moxley, Okada, or Danielson. But a match with no stakes or bad blood against faction member doesn’t feel like a good enough stage for that kind of move if that makes sense? My second issue comes from the weird order of the last two moves. Why did Ospreay finish him with a Hidden Blade after the Tiger Driver? I get maybe they want the Hidden Blade to be his finisher for now if they don’t like the Stormbreaker, but doing it after the TD’91 kind of diminishes the weight of such a devastating move. I would’ve preferred he do a sit out Tiger Driver 97 to call back to the Omega feud and have a tribute to Jay Briscoe

I’ve literally just finished Revolution 2024, so it’s time for the DiabeticMan star ratings (minus the pre-show): Cage/Garcia: 3.75 Kingston/Danielson: 4 Not Meat Madness: 2.5 Cassidy/Strong: 4.25 FTR/BCC: 4.5 Storm/Puerazzo: 3.5 Ospreay/Takeshita: 4.75 Hangman/Swerve/Joe: 4 Sting’s retirement match: 5 (my MOTY so far tbh) What a show

I think that Hangman tapping out to avoid Swerve from winning would be way more meaningful if he wasn’t taking time off. He’s so desperate for Swerve not to win that he quits, and then goes on vacay… is he going to be vacationing wherever AEW has matches so he’s close enough to stop Swerve should he have another shot? I think there are quite a few people that might’ve preferred a Joe v Swerve

Why are so many people giving Sting’s match 5 stars? I thought it was good but not that good

For an April pay per view you should do a star ratings as an April fools joke where you record and release the star ratings before the event is even over. Let's see "those other guys" compete with that.

the only reason people "made the connection" was because it was force fed to them by excalibur on commentary when it happened, even though it didn't make sense because swerve wasn't in his line of sight. also discredits joe's win when he frames it as hangman being so petty and that's why he tapped out.

Hot take incoming!!!! Sting and Darby should have lost to a younger tag team to put them over. A younger tag team like Jericho and Sammy G!! 😉

Can we stop with this ridiculous narrative that Sting is "unselfish" now? he did not put a single guy over in AEW. Literally went undefeated, then won his final match and retired with the belts. So disappointed in his utter selfishness that hurt the company throughout his run.

Hot take... Ospreay matches just don't do it for me, emphasis on "me", many many others love it. Some of the stuff just takes me personally out of it.

All jokes aside. Call him a mark, tony has been the most important person too wrestling in the last 10 years.

8-Man Scramble Match is half a star. Should've stuck with Meat Madness and not try to force Chris Jericho on the card when he shouldn't be

I can’t get with that osperay match, there wasn’t one moment of selling, felt like an actual fake fight that they weren’t trying to present as being real

NOT TO GIVE THE OSPREAY VS TAKESHITA 5 STARS IS LAUGHABLE. OSPREAY IS THE BEST IN THE WORLD AND TAKESHITA IS NOT TO FAR OFF. IF THAT IS NOT A 5 STAR MATCH THEN IT IS LIKE BIGFOOT, IT DOES NOT EXIST.

Ospreay vs Takeshita 4.25 Danielson vs Kingston 4 FTR vs BCC 3.75 Main event 3.5 Everything else was a 2.5 - 3 Passable wrestling show, but like Rock vs Hogan, it was an "atmospheric" show best described as an overbooked main event, two good but predictable matches and some Dynamite level filler. The world title picture is about as bare as it's been in years, and it'll take elevating Ospreay, and a few returns to make it mean anything. People called this the 'best PPV in company history / of all time' and I think the Rock might have been right. Wrestling fans are on drugs. This was the best middling nothing I've seen since Punk vs Darby Allin. (Oh, and people saying that because of the emotion, sorry. Can't get invested in Sting matches when it's just sluggish offense and no-selling everything.) Toni Storm deserved better. Daniel Garcia, and I can't believe I'm saying this about someone so young, deserved better.

That Kingston match was hard to watch. It was so sloppy and fake looking, Kingston looked like a drunk uncle trying to beat up his nephew. My dad, brother and I didn’t like it and my brother actually walked out the room because Daniel is his all time favorite and he hated seeing Bryan wrestle him. I know a few people will attack me but I genuinely don’t understand kingstons hype. He’s awful. Nothing he does looks good
