Surprisingly cold and even a little nasty for a "Carol Burnett Show" musical pastiche, which were usually playful and fun. Ken Berry doesn't even dance; maybe he had a number earlier in the show. Maybe if Carol had been Winnie (and Vicki Lawrence Lily) and they'd built up her part.
Just because he sings that song, does not necessarily mean that he wrote that song. People sing other people songs all the time on TV and in movies. I can sing songs from Bon Jovi and AC⚡DC but it doesn't mean that I wrote the songs myself.
