I was watching an original episode of Star Trek and I noticed a quote that was used in the newer Star Trek films. From that one subtle reference, this video was born. XD So, here are similarities, comparisons, and references between Karl Urban and DeForest Kelley portrayal of Leonard ‘Bones’ McCoy. Enjoy!
None of the clips belong to me. They are from the Original Star Trek series and the new Star Trek Trilogy.

I really wish that DeForest Kelley could've seen Karl Urban's portrayal of McCoy. I would've loved to see his reaction.

I've always been a Bones Babe, and Urban did a great job. I expected not to like a different Bones. But Urban had studied Kelley's stature, gestures, voice, and tones so well that I liked him a lot.

Yes! Same! He was amazing at it! A true fan of the show, which helped him do the character justice. He had Kelley’s mannerisms down pat. 👌🏻

The jj abrams star trek movies are not perfect and deserve some criticism but there are a few elements they nailed. Karl Urban's McCoy is just perfect. Thanks so much for this compilation!

Of all the Kelvin timeline actors, Karl Urban NAILED Bones McCoy better than any of the other actors.
