At this point it's become a historical piece; the whole point is to preserve it as it was on its' voyages in the Delta quadrant with as mush of the original material, paint etc. intact. It's the modern approach to preserving warplanes and tanks today. Even though they're rugged you have to be careful, especially if they have their original paintwork on.

Guessing not, since he doesn't seem to even think about it even while on board Voyager. That said, not everything was in the public logs. For example, Freeman had to actually ask the curator to send her Janeway's logs about Tuvix, rather than just checking the Cerritos computer.

Why transport fruit from Mexico to be packaged in China to be sold in 'Murica - when 'Murica already grows the same fruit? That's how Dole does things because that's where the facilities and workers they need are of sufficient quality and cost benefit Starfleet has literally unlimited amounts of power and material via warp cores and replicators - so sending a ship somewhere costs nothing but the crew's time, which I'm sure isn't that big of a hassle in 99.9997% of situations

There was a crossover episode of this show and “Strange New Worlds” where Boimler and Mariner get sent to Captain Pike’s Enterprise. The two aren’t allowed to talk about it since time travel is a no-no.

I watched quite a few episodes. Not as bad as the first trailers but not great.

Absolutely... but not if you go into it with a Klingon pain stick up your arse, and certainly not if you can't appreciate some silliness - which, despite what many might think, has always existed in Trekdom (Also: Lower Decks is 100% canon, so you'll miss stuff that matters)

Stick with it! It needs a little to find it's way. I never regretted it and I really dislike Picard and Discovery. :D

@@TheBaconWagoneer the main thing is they will miss the Orion stuff in season 4, LDS has basically established more about them then any other series. In addition, it features the Frenegi alliance finally signing up to the Federation, the fate of Locarno from TNGs episode "The First Duty", several new ships. The main thing about this series is the Cerritos isn't a "Hero class" ship ("Hero class" refers to the big "I am" ships of Starfleet with a incredible rep). Its instead just a workhorse/tug boat. This is a ship that exists so those "Hero class" ships can still function. Its nice because it features everyday antics of starfleet ships, the ships that most people who join Starfleet would be stuck on serving. There was only over a dozen Galaxy-Class ships made, but the California-class has 32 working ships. They aren't powerful but in packs of 2-3 they are, the the entire 32 ship fleet can mess up some of the most advance ships. We've seen them constantly in the series like the Miranda or the Oberth, these sucky ships that aren't great but had a purpose (even if its just exploding like the Oberth). We see in LDS how one of these ships can stand out from the pack because of its crew. The thing is, when the Cerritos is eventually destroyed/decommissioned, any remaining crew are the guys who will go on to led the next "Hero class" ships. Like, the Enterprise-D wasn't Picard's first ship for example. People who stand out on board these type of vessels go on to do amazing things. These crew mates, are Starfleets next "Heroes" in the making. I enjoy we get to see one of these types of ships, going forward into the future series, to me, this opens up focus on other ship classes.

I was as sceptical as you. After being massively burned by Star Trek Venereal Disease and Star Trek Picard Apologises to Everyone I had more of less given up on the brand (though Picard is supposed to get better in later seasons?). When I saw some clips of this I thought, 'Oh look, Star Trek Rick and Morty', they think they can drum up some interest by jumping on the 'edgy, self-aware, try-hard, look at me I'm not a kids show!' band wagon. But then I heard whispers that it wasn't bad, and I invested some time in watching the first few episodes. I was stunned to find i actually liked it. It's closer to animated Star Trek does Galaxy Quest, it pokes fun at the source material, but is not quite a parody as it is also a good story in it's own right. Most of all, it 'gets' Star Trek in a way I thought was lost. It's clear that the people writing this love Star Trek, and are just as massive fans as any of the audience, somthing I never felt from STD, quite the opposite. It also expands the lore in ways we've never seen. The Cerritos is one of the ships that would normally appear in one episode of a previous series as the one the heroes meet/save/see in the background exploding. We see the background stiuff that is normally glossed over in previous series. And it's great!

@stainlesssteelfox1 Based on the comment from yourself and the others on this, I will definitely be giving it ago. Might have to have binge tomorrow haha And yes, season 3 of Picard is great. Watch it!!!
