I've played hundreds of rounds on this map, the rebels win all the time. It's mostly dependent on the overall skill and focus of each team, half the time you get teams that are just there to kill enemies without paying any attention to the mission prompts, and the other half is the enemy team doing the same. I've played many rounds where the rebels take out the AT-ATs with just rocket and gunfire before they're halfway to the base.
@@TheExplosiveGuy Well dunno what you play on but as a ps4 player, I would say on hoth the empire wins atleast 80% of the time, then again they do have better heroes and specials like vader, Palpatine , death troopers, etc, personally I've never even seen the at at get roped like that but I've tried it.
I’ve seen Rebels get second phase and third phase stalls (typically third because we don’t have a second bomb up during Overtime) but I can say this is the first Imperial first phase loss I’ve seen.
@@ChewieCookiesGames I played one game tripped 2 another game I tripped 1 simple 2 on Jabbas palace and another on hoth. My memory is ass as well so I could be wrong.
Not every day the rebels win or trip both walkers. Usually there would always be a bunch of tie fighters immediately targetting you or anyone else who uses a snow speeder. Rebels NEVER win at this phase, not even the republic against the MTT's due to how broken the balancing is. The republic is the most balance since they now have the saber tank to fight the separatists tank on equal ground unlike the rebels that are screwed once an AT-ST shows up....the resistance always lose in the capital ship mode (I forgot its been so long I dont recall what that mode is called) cause the first order has so many OP units, once the jetpack trooper was added all they do is spam rockets. It's not fun.
Galactic assault Many of them are still fun and it could be that both teams want phase one to last as long as possible But I think it’s also extremely difficult Usually enemy fighters intercept you before you can kill the walkers
As someone who has played this game since it was in Open Beta, I am vitally impressed as I have never seen someone do it before. That sir is indeed a pro gamer move GGWP
Outpost Delta wash even IN the Open Beta, but either way, it’s incredibly difficult for the Light Side factions to win the first phase of Hoth, Naboo, Kashyyyk, and Crait.
It’s on every Game, it’s just far far more difficult to do in the Modern Games as unlike OG BF, you have to get the Walkers to a certain health before you can make the attempt, and that’s not to mention that you’ll be under far more fire from enemy players and fighters the entire time.
In the 3 years that i spend playing bft2, ALL THE TIMES that i played on this map as a Rebel, we never made it to bring a Walker down. And i didn't even know that the cable thing was possible, as well was in bft1 2015
I know it fantasy, but those AT Walkers drive me crazy. What kind of moron builds a vehicle with three exposed sides? All you have to do is attack from the rear all day.
They were built for sieges. Heavy forward guns and armor with smaller vehicles and troops protecting the rear. Also most of the empires vehicles and ships were designed to project power and cause fear. Terribly inefficient but they look scary as hell especially to ground troops. And the Empire never fought against an opponent of equal power like the republic and CIS did. You don't need to worry about rear attacks to your walker when all you do is suppress minor peasant revolts who are armed with side arms and pitchforks
Can you do this in solo mode offline? I’ve always wondered if you can do on foot combat and hop in a fighter and play a mode like that. I’ve played the old battlefront 2 from the early 2000’s and I knew that you could do it in that game. Please let me know. 👍
Wedge Antilles: good luck Luke, see you at rendezvous. R2d2: beep boop Luke Skywalker: don't worry r2, we're going we're going. R2: beep boop. Luke, we're not gonna regroup with the others. We're going to dagobah system
One thing I'm still mad about since battlefront, is that there is no roll in the fighters. Dice made bf3, and the jet gameplay was amazing. The fact that my X wing didn't roll, made me mad enough that I didn't even want battlefront 2
When I play this first phase of the map on either side I'm always going anti vehicle heavy. As imperial I focus on taking out enemy ships and then using the T-21 cause that think is the best sniper in the game. But as Rebels I'll use the same set up but put everything into the AT-ATs. Props to getting this done though, I always make people who play with snowspeeders lives miserable and hardly ever see this get done.
